House of Prayer Lutheran Church is a woke congregation in Richfield, MN. Led by impastor Eric Luedtke, it is a gay-affirming church that is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), easily one of the most Christ-hating denominations in the world, whose theological malfeasance we’ve covered many times on this site, including this small sampling:
ELCA Releases Hilariously Woke DEI Recommendations For their Denomination Gay ELCA Pastor Tells Pro-Choice Congregants ‘Your Church Stands With You. Your Rage is Holy’ ELCA Leader in a Polyamorous/’Ethically Non-Monogamous’ Relationship Queer ELCA Pastrix Ordained With Drag Queen Nuns While Jennifer Knapp Serenades ELCA Considers Expelling all Conservative, Anti-LGBTQ Pastors from their Midst Lutheran College Holds Drag Event Ft. Alumni Performers, 300+ Students In Attendance ELCA Publishes Book Encouraging ‘Queer Children’ to Ignore and ‘Limit Contact’ with Non-Affirming Parents Former Leader of ELCA Goes Off On Jesus in Sermon, Calling Him ‘Mean’, Troubling, and Even a Little Racist ELCA Church Recites Blasphemous ‘Sparkle Creed’ + ‘I believe in the non-binary God whose pronouns are plural’
During a recent message, Luedtke suggests that Jesus did not perform a physical miracle during the feeding of the 5000; instead, it was a spiritual miracle. Jesus did not create more loaves of bread and fish; instead, the boy’s generosity in giving his to Jesus saw the rest of the crowd pool the food they’d been hoarding.

Eric Luedtke is a heretic.
Belief in Jesus and his miracles is strictly optional. Believe it or don’t, frankly IDC. I choose to believe.
But why spend your Sundays listening to some Marxist idiot prattle on about community spirit?
Go for a walk outside. You’ll get closer to God there than you ever will in a pretend church.
Yeah, the Presbyterian USA apostate “church” pushed this blasphemy in the 1960s. I heard it from the pulpit before I found a real church.
Their condemnation will be just.

Of course pagans would think this way
“Come to our Jesus hating God mocking Church with our Cherry Picked Bible verses. We are sure to have some pleasing words for you. You don’t have to change your life! Go to Heaven just like you are! We don’t judge. Our sermons will reassure you everything will turn out alright.”
Judging by the photos of the people attending the service, the wokeness isn’t working. The church is 80% empty and about 75% of the attendees look more than 65 years old.
Miraculously 8 billion of us get fed to varying degrees every day. All of it is due to the grace of God and the feeding of the 5000 is a pointer to this which leads me to my favourite line from Ben Hur.
Ben Hur: I don’t believe in miracles.
Balthasar: But your whole life is a miracle...
One of the greatest movies of all time.
Not a new explanation. It is the socialist explanation though. “Everyone needs to share more!” Lenin, er, Jesus sayes!
Way back in the 80’s when I was in an LCA church, my pastor actually suggested that. It’s nothing new in more liberal churches. I don’t know why some pastors have so much trouble believing in miracles.
Martin Luther is looking down from Heaven wondering what these people have faith in, surely not Christ.
Because they are sent to a seminary where any inclination toward actual belief in God is mocked right out of them.
The vast majority of the professors do not believe. It transmits to the students.
Not a new thing. Been going on for well over a century and a half.
So was Martin Luther.
“I don’t know why some pastors have so much trouble believing in miracles.”
Because they don’t believe Jesus is Divine. Just a wise man. Basically what Muslims think.
Marty would be so proud.
I’ve heard that same bs from liberal preachers and priests. I think Dope Francis said this in one of his sermons. Heretics.
Apparently Protestants claim only sola scriptura but they don’t have to believe in all the words (Truth) of Jesus and can follow man’s words and form thousands of different churches apart from the Church Jesus founded.
We all need to do God’s will and accept and believe in the words of Jesus and realize the Jesus established his Church for unity and to show us the path to salvation.
