Todays Sermon pulls from the 2nd Reading
of today from Romans.
The Sermon highlights the "Love side" of St. Paul's
Gospel he preached.
A contentious topic, to be sure.

Weird. That song popped into my head this morning after Church. Hmm đ€
Very good from Bishop Barron.
Saved by the work of Christ; Sanctified by the Holy Spirit
That was a great message. Timely too.
Ask the thief on the Cross.
* And 3 days later then rose and ascended to His Father in Heaven as Lord of all, and thus enabling regeneration (John 7:37, 38; 14:24,25; 16:7) when one essentially believes as described above. (Acts 15:7-9; Eph. 1:13; Titus 3:5)
* And which effectual faith is imputed for righteousness, (Romans 4:5) and results in following the Lord, (Jn. 10:27, 28; Romans 8:14) which is to formally begin with being baptized (Acts 2:38-47; 8:12,36,37)
* And by which faith the redeemed soul is "accepted in the Beloved" and positionally seated with Him in Heaven, on His account, glory to God. (Ephesians 1:6; 2:6; cf. Phil. 3:21)
* And those who die in that obedient faith will go to be forever with Him at death or His return, at "the first resurrection," (Revelation 20:5) âthe resurrection of life, â (Jn. 5:29a) "of the just." (Luke 14:14) For wherever Scripture clearly speak of the next conscious reality for those who die in that effectual faith then it is with the Lord, at death or His return (whatever comes first), by the grace of God. (Lk. 23:43 [cf. 2Cor. 12:4; Rv. 2:7]; Phil 1:23; 2Cor. 5:8 [âweâ]; 1Cor. 15:51ff'; 1Thess. 4:17)
In contrast to those who were never born of the Spirit or who terminally fall away. (Gal. 5:1-4; Heb. 3:12; 10:25-39)
* And which believers will go with the Lord Jesus to the battle of Armageddon, â (Jude 14-15; cf. Revelation 19:14) and also (after His return) stand before âthe judgment seat of Christâ which is only for believers, and who will be judged as to rewards or loss thereof due their manner of workmanship in building the body of Christ, the church. (Lk. 14:14; cf. 1Cor. 3:8ff; 4:5; Acts 24:15)
* And who then be rulers under Christ in His literal 1,000 year reign: âBlessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.â (Revelation 20:6)
* After which the âgreat and notable day of the Lordâ â (Acts 2:20) culminates in the Great White Throne judgment, with âthe resurrection of damnationâ (Jn. 5:29b) and their judgment which occurs 1,000 years after âthe first resurrectionâ (Rv. 20:6) the âresurrection of life, (â(Jn. 5:29a) and in which judgment believers will be part of the jury in the judgment of men and angels (1 Corinthians 6:3)
* In which the dead are judged out of those things which were written in the books, and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire, (Rv. 20:11-5) with their degree of punishment being determined in accordance with how much light and grace was given. (Lk. 10:12-13; 12:47,48)

Who got the first indulgence.
Urban II is said to be the first to grant the first plenary indulgence for the crusades. However, it was unscriptural and more in line with the Islamic belief of jihad.
Dismas...aka “The good Theif. “
Patron Saint of prisoners.
In Christ alone, my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
‘Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live, I live
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand

——>Ask the thief on the Cross.
Ask these guys:
Matthew 7:
21âNot everyone who says to Me, âLord, Lord,â shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will say to Me in that day, âLord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?â 23And then I will declare to them, âI never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!â
If you dig into the Greek of this passage youâll see those who practice lawlessness are ones who never professed faith in ChristâŠand only Christ.
Sorry, Dude, they are PROFESSING Christ. Absolutely clear in those texts. Their downfall is LAWLESSNESS, as will be what gets most of Christianity. Most will not be saved.
That includes billions of professing Christians at the end of the world (no secret PTR will save them, because it’s a lie). They will gladly receive the mark of the beast, because it’s about God’s law, which their false teachers and pastors have convinced doesn’t apply to them. Guaranteed.
You miss the point. These people were never saved. The Mormon may claim Lord, Lord but is lost. As is the Muslim or Hindu. There are millions who wear the scapular and claim for Mary to save them but are lost. Also note their âgood worksâ did nothing for them.
If they claimed FAITH UNTO SALVATION, they certainly were saved (past sins forgiven at Grace), just like you and I claim. Then, they lived their lives for Christ, claiming and doing this and that in His name. Then, they were judged (on their works).
The big question is WHY will they not be in heaven. The answer is, because Christ never KNEW them. If a person says they "KNOW" Christ, they keep His commandments. If they don't, they are called LIARS. You know the text, right? Not keeping His commandments is LAWLESSNESS. God's law was the standard of the Old Covenant, as it is for the New Covenant. That is crystal clear biblical doctrine.
LOOK at the language:
Hebrews 8:10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, KNOW the Lord: for all shall KNOW me, from the least to the greatest.
Knowing the Lord means keeping his law/commandments. That is New Covenant 101. His people obey. Those who don't are LAWLESS. Saying God's law doesn't apply to them is nothing short of treason. One who rejects God's laws, de facto, rejects Christ. Revelation makes it very clear that it is COMMANDMENT KEEPERS that will be in heaven. Those who think God's law doesn't apply to them will not be there, no matter who tells them otherwise (false teachers).
