double post. oops.
And in the same way he took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood” (Luke 22:20).
In the same way, he also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, every time you drink it, in remembrance of me” (1 Corinthians 11:25).
Hmmm, applies to Christians, but not Elsie. Elsie thinks the NEW COVENANT only applies to the LITERAL House of Israel, LITERAL JEWS. Elsie throws out all those verses that tell us who “Israel” is. Elsie still hasn’t figured out who the House of Israel is, in its application the those in Christ. It’s actually EVERYONE who is saved by faith, in Christ, as everyone saved in the OT, was, AFTER the blood of Christ sealed the deal.
Galatians 3:
26For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
26For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
THAT statement includes every LITERAL Jew before Christ and every SPIRITUAL JEW AFTER. They are the “House of Israel”.
Still; Jewish ‘seed’
I reached A CONCLUSION?
I must have overlooked it in all of my unintelligible mumblings.
Speaking of 'including'; how much of the OLD covenant is INCLUDED into the New?
do these animals ratify the SAbbath day thingy?
If this is true, then why do YOU throw out all the verses that tell us belief is more important than LAW keeping?
After all, the rich, young ruler claimed to have kept the law since childhood.
If he had not, would not have Jesus called him on it?
No, Jesus told him something he had to BELIEVE - and he did not want to do it.
——>26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Paul INCLUDES Abraham and the House of Israel/Judah. Grace applied to them at Christ’s death...
BINGO!!!!!
BINGO!!!!!
BINGO!!!!!
BINGO!!!!!
BINGO!!!!!

I don’t see how that would concern you or why you would even care. You DENY the very application/continuation of the NEW COVENANT to Christianity, even though it’s mediated by CHRIST, and discussed with new convert HEBREWS, in the book of HEBREWS, AMONG OTHER CHAPTERS of the bible. And the fact that it’s representative of the very blood of Christ, as stated by Christ Himself...DENY, DENY, DENY.
Denying Christ’s New Covenant is the same as denying Christ. The NEW COVENANT is at the very core of the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. DENY, DENY, DENY.
You are hung up on your false belief that ISRAEL can’t be spiritual, and describe THOSE IN CHRIST, which Paul very clearly says is the case. DENY, DENY, DENY.
(When what you should be doing is searching, and finding the answers. Plenty of good videos out there if you know where to look. Snap, you don’t do videos. My bad.)
Getting to the point of grace, of even being called a Christian, is 100% FAITH/BELIEVING. Absolutely nothing else.
After that, God expects you to live your life accordingly. That’s where God’s law comes in.
John 14:15If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever— 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you.
Very important that you understand this, Elsie...
Those who KNOW Him (BELIEVE), KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS/LAW, out of love for Christ, for what He did for them on the cross. That concept is at the very core of the NEW COVENANT. But, then again, you don’t believe it applies to YOU, as a Christian...You say (paraphrasing) ONLY TO THE JEW, TO THE JEW, TO THE JEW... (Paul says exactly the opposite. One of you is wrong).
Believe FIRST (faith unto salvation), then obey. (Judgment is based on that second part, you know, Elsie, your life as a PROFESSED BELIEVER in Christ).
After all, the rich, young ruler claimed to have kept the law since childhood.
If he had not, would not have Jesus called him on it?
No, Jesus told him something he had to BELIEVE - and he did not want to do it.
Just like every other non-BELIEVING Jew, or cult, that thinks salvation is by works. Now, just imagine, that if he did BELIEVE, and then listened to God’s voice, kept His charge, His commandments, His statutes, and His laws.
I know I heard that somewhere before. Oh, yeah, here it is:
Genesis 26:5because Abraham listened to My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.
Abraham was saved by faith. He BELIEVED. He also backed it up with OBEDIENCE.
Speaking of “cults”, the biggest one in the world today is the one that thinks they can be saved without obeying God’s law AFTER Grace is extended to them, and, that favorable judgment has already come for them. They got their E Ticket out and they’re just waiting for their “ride” to heaven. Yeah, OSAS/OJAJ.
——>do these animals ratify the SAbbath day thingy?
One would probably first want to know if that Sabbath day thingy was around BEFORE Sinai, along with the rest of God’s ETERNAL, moral law.
Also, one would want to know if God’s ETERNAL, moral law, His 10 commandments, was a separate COVENANT in and of itself, inclusive in the covenant ratified by animal blood at Sinai.
One should also find out EXACTLY what the Old Covenant was, because the uninformed, OSAS/OJAJ seem to believe it’s God’s 10 commandment law, which is why they hate it and refuse to obey, when in fact, the exact opposite is true.
Many Christians will lose their salvation over this “law” thingy. The Sabbath, and the rest of God’s 10 commandment law, is right in the middle of the issue, because it’s right in the middle of Christ’s NEW COVENANT.
Those who DENY God’s law in the NEW COVENANT, will not be in heaven. It’s about who’s AUTHORITY one follows. Revelation 14 makes that very clear in the MOTB issue.
And yet YOU are the one complaining that I do not answer YOUR questions?
Saved by Grace - kept by Works.
James 2:10 King James Version
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Good luck.
Throughout Scripture Abraham is held forth as the ultimate example of faith. He was willing to trust God in the midst difficult circumstances and to believe His promises in the face of that which seemed impossible. The Bible, however, does not hide from us the faults and failures of the heroes of our faith. It is not the perfect faith of Abraham, but instead the faithfulness of God that stands out so dramatically throughout the Abrahamic narrative of Genesis 12-25.
Oh?
Who cares?
It was part of the OLD covenant and I want to know if you think it is still part of the NEW.
The Sabbath, and the rest of God’s 10 commandment law, is right in the middle of the issue, because it’s right in the middle of Christ’s NEW COVENANT.
HMMMmmm...
Looks like, in your opinion, that the OLD as NOT done away with, just got more stuff added to it.
I'm being to see the light now.
Moldy Old Tennis Balls?
Oh, Mark of the Beast.
Is your name written in the book of Life?
(Oops - I should have warned you that a question was coming.)
Would be nice if you left a citation link to that quote.
