In a recent Lifeway poll they found only 2% of churches in the USA teach Bible prophecy. This is an amazing latter-days stat for several reasons:
1- Roughly 30% of the Bible is prophetic. They’re ignoring almost 1/3 of the scriptures.
2- 100% accuracy in past prophecies fulfilled literally separates the Bible from every other book on the planet. It not only claims to be written by God, it proves it by predicting the future.
3- The entire Book of Revelation was prophetic when written. Today everything from Revelation 6 forward is still in the future and likely to be fulfilled within the next 7-14 years.
4- The Book of Revelation is the only book that promises Believers a special blessing for even trying to read and understand it.
Revelation 1:3 KJV – “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”
I once read comments on Rev. 13:16-17 (Mark of the Beast) in a turn-of-the-19th-century commentary. The writer explained that each bank could have a person standing inside with a list of those forbidden to bank, and unless you got the OK-nod from him, they wouldn’t let you transact business.

I recently viewed a great teaching video on rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
The presenter addresses the Bible in terms of asking the following questions, who is the author addressing? What is the time period he is addressing? Sometimes the Scripture has double application and the way to check is if it contradicts the Gospel given to Paul to give to the Gentiles, then it’s for the Jews, and vice versa.
The video addresses time periods known as Dispensations then rightly divides.
It’s a great video I will be posting in the next couple days.
Seven You wrote “All scripture is profitable. It is the glory of God to conceal a thing. Who decides what is important?”
Yes all scripture is profitable..totally agree. If one preaches expositorilly, verse by verse from a book of scripture, then nothing is missed. I gave an example of just finishing John after 5 years, with breaks in between to preach different books, going verse by verse. Nothing was missed doctrinally because the book determines the sermon.
Thats why i asked him the question if thats what he meant
Absolutely
.
The Wuhan Hoax Is the bench mark
for the demonic surge of TYRANNY!
That’s right Ferris.
There are however plenty of churches that don’t dare tread near Prophecy for reasons you and I know.
I’ll include those in my “woke” category because they want that money to keep flowing.
I’ve left several.
Nobody is making any predictions.
We are to know the season we’re living in.
Folks looking forward to Jesus’ Coming get a Crown of Righteousness. I can’t wait for mine!
[Until they do.]
Yes. And they will come quickly. As prophesied.
We are definitely seeing warning signs: Globalism, Mark of the Beast technology, limited freedoms, Online censorship of Christian-related things, Days of Lot being marched and taught in virtually every major city around the world, Laodicean church teachings, Satan’s goats promoting the confusion of gender, etc.
They have been imminent since 70 AD. Knowing something will happen is kinda useless if you don’t know when and Jesus said only God knows that implying that we should focus on today which has enough troubles on its own.
We are already at the itching ears stage
Yeah you clearly don’t get it.
Christ crucified was Prophecy at one point and I bet you couldn’t even point out which books and verses discussed it in the OT.
Christ coming back IS HOPE.
If you don’t want HIM to come back or think His Coming Kingdom isn’t something to hope for then why in the world do you even identify as a Christian?
Maybe you are woke?
"Prophetic Apocalypses keep not happening."
Why waste your time posting? You won't change the mind of one believer. Try harder next time. Do some research.
A lot of the book of Revelation (until about Chapter 20) was fulfilled in the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.
The problem with this junk bible claim is that John is taken in spirit to the Lord's day ... That day does not happen until Christ returns for a harvest. Revelation 12 covers the world (age) that was. (For those Biblically literate that is Peter's description. IIPeter 3) And Revelation 12 is one of the many places where the fake Jesus is named, he gets tossed out of heaven down to this earth.
John does NOT even mention 70 AD and that tin horn dictator... cray cray and serpent bait, just like Paul warned.
2 And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the Lord unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.
3 And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord God: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with silence.
4 Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail,
5 Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?
6 That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat?
7 The Lord hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.
8 Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.
9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
10 And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.
And here we are!
********11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:*******
12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.
13 In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.
14 They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.
The book is commonly dated to have been written after AD 70 by John of Patmos. Ancient scholars argued over whether that John was also the Apostle John.
I have said this same thing over and over. Most have NO IDEA what God promises (so they can stand on it) because they don’t read the Word of God to know it!
To RWC’s original point; prophecy is a GIFT of the Holy Spirit and it is a rare find when you stumble on a church that is Spirit filled and teaching/walking in, the Gifts of the Spirit.
Maybe God blinded you. It’s so obvious prophecy is being fulfilled today.
Jesus himself said we were to look to the sky. A lot of churches don’t talk about sin and where it can lead you. Maybe your pastor don’t want to hurt no one’s feelings.
Maybe you are just believing what you want to believe. I spent 2021 watching people prophesy that Trump would be returned to power in 2021 by supernatural means.
