(2 Peter 1:20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. (Isaiah 28:10) For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: (Isaiah 28:13) But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

And if there were other scripture verses that I could show you to refute that claim in that they are NOT blood bros of Jesus...

But you can't because the Greek and other supporting Scripture don't state it.

That’s correct MM. I showed it to my Greek friend, from Ellatha, (Greece) and told him a certain religious group, which he figured out in 1/4 second, tries to say these people are the cousins of Jesus, to which he said, balderdash. He said he didn’t really care what any religious group says, they would not tell him how to speak Greek, since he has been speaking Greek, since he was a toddler. No one can lie to him, about what the Greek says. He knows what it says.
He also has to remind himself, to answer me with the Greek, written in English letters; since it’s all Greek to me. 🤔😁😆 By the way, he speaks, reads and writes Hebrew too.

Well what does or doesnt "work"
is not relevant yet.
Were dealing purely with conforming the scriptural passages
to see if it harmonizes.

As you hold to your claim of blood-brothers to be true,
if the text shown you contradicts as it is written,
would you say the Bible is in error to maintain your position?

Modern Greece and Greek differ from ancient Greece and Greek.

Not enough to matter a hill of beans. Yanni reads New Testament Greek all the time, and has NO PROBLEMS understanding any of it. None. He doesn’t buy the schtick, that the brothers of Jesus were cousins, not for a moment. I don’t buy it either, and nothing you can say, will change my mind. You can believe whatever you want about Jesus’ brothers, but we will NEVER agree on it.
Just don’t have some inordinate fear of Hell. It’s a horrible place, full of weeping and gnashing of teeth 🦷 You shouldn’t want to end up there, but I think upwards of 97% of the world’s population will burn 🔥 The chances are not good. Don’t fall for it. I don’t. I have assurance of salvation. I am pretty confident, that you don’t. If you don’t, that’s on you bro.

It is most probably best to stay out of the bedrooms, Elsie, even should they prove to be fictional.

They hate the Catholic Church, but they follow her SOLE AUTHORITY in keeping the Sunday sabbath, and therefore TRADITION. (most should go back to their “mother” church for that very reason, but even if they don’t outwardly do so, they are in effect doing it every Sunday, like Elsie and Metmom).

Rome’s Challenge brings it out nicely, as I’ve mentioned before. (not a video, so I guess Elsie could READ it if he wanted to)
https://www.romeschallenge.com/downloads/RomesChallenge.pdf

Then there’s the Council of Trent...., which should settle all matters for Catholic and Protestant (for most only in name, or course) alike:

THE JESUITS CAPTURE THE COUNCIL OF TRENT

This Society of Jesus proposed to subordinate the Holy Scriptures and in their place substitute the interpretations of the Bible by the ecclesiastical writers of the first centuries whom they called the “fathers.” All the errors and vagaries of the allegorizers who confused and darkened the first three centuries were selected. The first great papal council which assembled after the Reformation, the Council of Trent (A. D. 1545-1563), was dominated by the Jesuits. This assembly laid down the law, and no papal authority has dared since to dispute it.

In assembling this church council, Emperor Charles V gave the order that only the abuses in the church, not doctrine, should be considered. He was distracted to behold his realm divided between two contending churches, and it mattered little to him which creed prevailed. He only wished some general assembly to remedy conditions. The emperor desired Lutherans and Catholics to sit together in a general council, and he fondly believed Europe again would be united.

The influence of the Jesuits was immediately seen when the pope ignored the imperial command to notify the Reformers. Weeks passed, and finally the council organized itself and accepted the following as its first four decrees: (1) The Vulgate was the true Bible and not the Received Text which the Reformers followed and which had been the Bible of the Greek Church, the Church of the east, and the true churches of the West through the centuries; (2) tradition was of equal authority with the Sacred Scriptures; (3) the five disputed books found in the Catholic Bible, but rejected by Protestant scholars, were declared canonical; (4) the priests only, and not the laity, were capable of rightly interpreting the Scriptures.

When the emperor learned that the Protestants had not been called to the council, he was enraged. Uttering severe threats, he demanded that his original plan be executed. Though the pope reluctantly and with long delay obeyed, the decrees already passed irrevocably compromised the situation. The Lutherans refused to accept the insulting notifications. In the meantime the pope had died and his successor advocated Jesuit policies. The deliberations proceeded as they had begun. Decree after decree was proclaimed; doctrine after doctrine was settled. Repeatedly the emperor was misled until he expressed his anger strongly to the Roman pontiff over the deceitful maneuvering.

How were the church prelates to defend these doctrines which had no scriptural authority?

(AND HERE IT IS, BOYS AND GIRLS....)

Hours, weeks, and months; yes, many sessions went by with this anxious question in their hearts. Then, one morning, January 18, 1562, the archbishop of Rheggio hurried from his room and appeared before his confreres to proclaim that he had the answer.

**Protestants, he urgently reasoned, never could defend Sunday sacredness. If they continued to offer as their authority “the Bible and the Bible only,” it was clear that they had no Bible command for the first day of the week.**

According to Pallavicini, papal champion of the council, the archbishop said, “It is then evident that the church has power to change the commandments,” because by its power alone and not by the preaching of Jesus it had transferred the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. Tradition, they concluded, was not antiquity, but continuous inspiration. None could continue to fight the acceptance of tradition when the only authority for Sunday sacredness in the church was tradition. This discovery nerved the council to go forward with its work.

All the doctrines against which the Reformers had protested were thus again formulated and strengthened by Rome. All the rites and practices which the Church in the Wilderness had straggled to escape were incorporated more strongly than ever into papal tradition by the twenty-five sessions of the council between 1545 and 1563.

Henceforth, the Papacy was to have only one mission in the world, namely, to command nations and men everywhere to submit to the Council of Trent. The new slogan now invented, which must go reverberating throughout the earth, was, “The Council of Trent, the Council of Trent, the Council of Trent.”

Here’s the link to the Council of Trent article, again, not in a video, so anyone can easily READ it, if they “do” written text, that is.

https://www.biblelightinfo.com/bssb-1443-1444.htm

This should be shouted at the ended of every Protestant Sunday service (maybe someone should make a video out of it?)

THE COUNCIL OF TRENT!
THE COUNCIL OF TRENT!
THE COUNCIL OF TRENT!

Sorry, Elsie, that excuse won’t work in the judgment.

(Oops, I did it again. You’ve ALREADY been judged. My bad. God’s law doesn’t apply to you. Sorry.)

You have the burden to follow ONLY what is in scripture.... ...while we can make up all the stuff we want under the mantle of it could have happened.

Or since the the Bible doesn't say it didn't happen, we can presume it did because of, you know, "*sacred* tradition".

Or *lots of people believed it a long time ago* (unprovable), therefore it must be true.

Nope. Not buying it. You keep changing the subject and won’t answer my questions.

It’s about why Catholics disparage sex between a husband and wife so much and you keep trying to change the topic make it about sola Scriptura and Sabbath worship. That’s the baiting and deflection.

Don’t know but he admits to being a sinner. And one who was sleeved by faith in Christ and only Christ. No appeal to Mary or anyone else.

Would I be correct in assuming you meant saved, not sleeved?
No, he never appealed to Mary or any other “Saint.” First, how do they know the person they are “praying” is in Heaven. He or she is quite probably in Hades, waiting the great white throne judgement. At any rate, praying to the “holy saints,” is more commonly called necromancy. It’s evil. It’s a portal, like an ouija board. Mess with these evil things, and you are opening yourself up to demon oppression or outright demon possession. Me and my other Catholic friends messed with an ouija board, way back in high school. The dang board was answering questions we asked. It scared us. We never messed with it again. I don’t think a true Christian can be demon possessed, or at least not against their will. Why anyone would give a demon permission to enter in, is beyond me.
Don’t pray to Mary. She has never heard anyone’s prayers, and it annoys the demon who masquerades as Mary. Necromancy is evil.
I don’t know where you plan on sitting, but at the great white throne judgment, I will sit between the men of Nineveh and the Queen of Sheba, and we will all rise in judgment over this generation, and condemn it. For the men of Nineveh repented at the preaching of Jonah, and the Queen of the South, came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon. They will be the judges.

How can it be “bait”... if you have air tight, locked down
sola scriptura, bible alone , bible only,
perspicuous scriptural verse(s)for an answer...
- on where in scripture the seventh day sabbath was abolished?

That’s a fair argument and should be simple enough for METMOM to answer, then move on to her other issues.

But, METMOM can’t, because there is no sola scriptura, bible alone, perspicuous scriptural verse(s) for an answer on how, what, when, where, or why the 7th-day-Sabbath was abolished. It’s not there. All there is, is Catholic tradition and the Council of Trent.

They definitely did that MM. But they used reverse psychology on us. They said sex In marriage was permissible. That was mighty nice of them, but what they said was, it was much more ideal, to be a priest or a nun. Think of how much easier it is to serve God as a priest of nun. Imagine the thrill of forgiving other people of their sins. What a thrill that is.
One of the perish priests asked my dad, if he thought I might be interested in the priesthood. I just said I hadn’t thought about it. What I didn’t say, was that I always wanted a female in my life, so I had no desire to be celibate. Also, I figured I had so many racy mortal sins on my soul, how could I possibly forgive someone else’s racy sin, when I had so many mortal sins on my soul already. Make sense?

——>...and are vehemently anti-Catholic.

Against the Catholic system, not its PEOPLE. (same goes for the Harlot Daughter churches, which Sunday-keepers are members of....in the big picture they are all in Babylon.)

Most Sunday-keeping Protestants that I’ve interacted with on FR hate the SDA church AND its people (you know, because they’re a cult). THEY say they would know, because they’re saved/judged, and SDA and Catholics are not....THEY say that God is a respecter of THEM, for that very reason. THEY say God’s law does not apply to them (no penalty for breaking God’s law after claiming GRACE).

Like worshipping a Sunday Sabbath.
We can do so.
You must violate scripture to do so.

METMOM and her friends claim Sola Scriptura, yet VIOLATE it every Sunday.

Maybe their consciences are clear because they claim that God’s law only applies/binding to the UNSAVED??? I still can’t believe that someone claiming Grace would say such a thing. They can openly commit LAWLESSNES (like breaking the 4th commandment 7th-day-Sabbath, OR ANY COMMANDMENT...adultery comes to mind), because they claim God’s LAW doesn’t apply to THEM.

Sola Scriptura says otherwise:

Matthew 7:
21Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’

23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of LAWLESSNESS!’

They claim there is no law that applies to them.

Do you think one should cut off one's hand or pluck our an eye to avoid sexual sin or else is in danger of hell ?

The return of the lost tribes of Israel and the return of the City of Enoch.

These are major events prophesied throughout scripture to take place prior to the second coming. It doesn’t get much more specific than D&C section 45 and Article of Faith number 10.

There is also the Bible Dictionary and The Topical Guide.

If you have a copy of the JST, try Genesis chapter seven.

A cursory look indicates that much of the emphasis is found in latter day revelation. See Article of Faith number nine.

I have never asked, but I know others have asked you the exact same question? Have you? Since you can’t tell the difference between a metaphor or figure of speech, and reality. Example: Jesus said he is the door. Is he made of wood? He is the bright and morning star. Does that mean he is celestial body, hanging in space, giving off light? I think not. So, since most Catholics think we should eat his body, and drink his blood, have you cut off your hand? If not, why not? Because it is to be taken figuratively. Remember bro, the men of Nineveh. If you have no assurance of salvation, that is a danger sign bro, but it’s not my problem, it’s yours. Have a nice eternity 🔥 I hope you make it bro, but if you don’t, that’s your problem. Meanwhile, physician, heal thy self, pluck out your own eye, before you worry about someone else’s.

There’s not a single FR Prot that can produce ANYTHING like all of the “it is written” to try to justify “SOLA SCRIPTURA”.

Wanna bet?

NIV Matthew 2:5
"In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written:

NIV Matthew 4:1-11
1. Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil.
2. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
3. The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread."
4. Jesus answered, "It is written: `Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' "
5. Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.
6. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: "`He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.' "
7. Jesus answered him, "It is also written: `Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' "
8. Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.
9. "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me."
10. Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: `Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.' "
11. Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

NIV Matthew 11:10
This is the one about whom it is written: "`I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.'

NIV Matthew 21:13
"It is written," he said to them, "`My house will be called a house of prayer,' but you are making it a `den of robbers.' "

NIV Matthew 26:24
The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him.

NIV Matthew 26:31
Then Jesus told them, "This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written: "`I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.'

NIV Mark 7:6-7
6. He replied, "Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: "`These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
7. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'

NIV Mark 9:11-13
11. And they asked him, "Why do the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?"
12. Jesus replied, "To be sure, Elijah does come first, and restores all things. Why then is it written that the Son of Man must suffer much and be rejected?
13. But I tell you, Elijah has come, and they have done to him everything they wished, just as it is written about him."

NIV Mark 11:17
And as he taught them, he said, "Is it not written: "`My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations' ? But you have made it `a den of robbers.' "

NIV Mark 14:27
"You will all fall away," Jesus told them, "for it is written: "`I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.'

NIV Luke 4:17-19
17. The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:
18. "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,
19. to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."

NIV Luke 7:27
This is the one about whom it is written: "`I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.'

NIV Luke 10:26
"What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?"

NIV Luke 18:31-33
31. Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, "We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.
32. He will be handed over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, insult him, spit on him, flog him and kill him.
33. On the third day he will rise again."

NIV Luke 20:17-18
17. Jesus looked directly at them and asked, "Then what is the meaning of that which is written: "`The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone ' ?
18. Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed."

NIV Luke 21:22
For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written.

NIV Luke 22:37
It is written: `And he was numbered with the transgressors' ; and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in me. Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment."

NIV Luke 24:44-47
44. He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms."
45. Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.
46. He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,
47. and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

NIV John 2:17
His disciples remembered that it is written: "Zeal for your house will consume me."

NIV John 6:31
Our forefathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written: `He gave them bread from heaven to eat.' "

NIV John 6:45
It is written in the Prophets: `They will all be taught by God.' Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me.

NIV John 12:14-16
14. Jesus found a young donkey and sat upon it, as it is written,
15. "Do not be afraid, O Daughter of Zion; see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey's colt."
16. At first his disciples did not understand all this. Only after Jesus was glorified did they realize that these things had been written about him and that they had done these things to him.

NIV John 15:25
But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: `They hated me without reason.'

NIV John 20:30-31
30. Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book.
31. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

NIV Acts 1:20
"For," said Peter, "it is written in the book of Psalms, "`May his place be deserted; let there be no one to dwell in it,' and, "`May another take his place of leadership.'

NIV Acts 7:42
But God turned away and gave them over to the worship of the heavenly bodies. This agrees with what is written in the book of the prophets: "`Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the desert, O house of Israel?

NIV Acts 13:29
When they had carried out all that was written about him, they took him down from the tree and laid him in a tomb.

NIV Acts 13:32-33
32. "We tell you the good news: What God promised our fathers
33. he has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: "`You are my Son; today I have become your Father. '

NIV Acts 15:15-18
15. The words of the prophets are in agreement with this, as it is written:
16. "`After this I will return and rebuild David's fallen tent. Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it,
17. that the remnant of men may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who bear my name, says the Lord, who does these things'
18. that have been known for ages.

NIV Acts 23:5
Paul replied, "Brothers, I did not realize that he was the high priest; for it is written: `Do not speak evil about the ruler of your people.' "

NIV Acts 24:14
However, I admit that I worship the God of our fathers as a follower of the Way, which they call a sect. I believe everything that agrees with the Law and that is written in the Prophets,
and I have the same hope in God as these men, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.

NIV Romans 1:17
For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."

NIV Romans 2:24
As it is written: "God's name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you."

NIV Romans 3:4
Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: "So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge."

NIV Romans 3:10-12
10. As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one;
11. there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God.
12. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one."

NIV Romans 4:17
As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed--the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.

NIV Romans 4:23-24
23. The words "it was credited to him" were written not for him alone,
24. but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness--for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.

NIV Romans 8:36
As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."

Just as it is written: "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated."

9. And David says: "May their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them.
10. May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their backs be bent forever."

NIV Romans 11:26-27

NIV Romans 14:11
It is written: "`As surely as I live,' says the Lord, `every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'"

NIV Romans 15:3-4
3. For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: "The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me."
4. For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

NIV Romans 15:7-12
7. Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
8. For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God's truth, to confirm the promises made to the patriarchs
9. so that the Gentiles may glorify God for his mercy, as it is written: "Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing hymns to your name."
10. Again, it says, "Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people."
11. And again, "Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and sing praises to him, all you peoples."
12. And again, Isaiah says, "The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; the Gentiles will hope in him."

NIV Romans 15:21
Rather, as it is written: "Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand."

NIV 1 Corinthians 1:19
For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."

NIV 1 Corinthians 1:31
Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."

NIV 1 Corinthians 2:9
However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" --

NIV 1 Corinthians 3:19-20
19. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness" ;
20. and again, "The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile."

NIV 1 Corinthians 4:6
Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, "Do not go beyond what is written." Then you will not take pride in one man over against another.

NIV 1 Corinthians 9:9
For it is written in the Law of Moses: "Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain." Is it about oxen that God is concerned?

These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come.

So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being" ; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.

NIV 1 Corinthians 15:54
When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."

NIV 2 Corinthians 4:13-14
13. it is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak,
14. because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence.

NIV 2 Corinthians 8:15
as it is written: "He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little."

For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman.

NIV Luke 1:1-4
1. Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us,
2. just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word.
3. Therefore, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus,
4. so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

NIV 2 Corinthians 1:13-14
13. For we do not write you anything you cannot read or understand. And I hope that,
14. as you have understood us in part, you will come to understand fully that you can boast of us just as we will boast of you in the day of the Lord Jesus.

NIV 2 Peter 3:16
He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

12. I write to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.

14. I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

Well; I've showed you our list of SCRIPTURES; ya wanna show us your list of TRADITIONS?
