(2 Peter 1:20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. (Isaiah 28:10) For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: (Isaiah 28:13) But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
Get thee to an EVOLUTION thread for your repentance!!
For the same reason that damned ELSIE does: they didn’t get the message the FIRST time!!

I just HAD to look it up!
Who cares what this poster MurphsLaw says about us being former Catholics?
We left the harlot for various reasons, but one thing remains TRUE for those of us who did leave it and found Jesus - The Holy Spirit of God called us out and showed us the Truth in Love in His Word.
The fact that Scripture rebukes over and over to not worship angels, or ‘saints’ or even pray to them should be enough to convince them of their error.
The False God of Religion sends more people to hell than anything else.
Instead of clinging to Jesus and His Finished Work - these sheep cling to all sorts of man made cultic ideals.
There was an colleague of mine a few years ago who would go to a “mass” for his dead brother every year in the hope that his soul would make it up one level of purgatory with enough people showing up. This is the sort of ridiculous nonsense these folks believe in.
Nevermind Scripture says:
Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment
Mark 2:6-11 Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, “Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them,
“Why do you question these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic— “I say to you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home.”
And also Luke 5:17-25.
Jesus never told them they were wrong that only God alone can forgive sins. On the contrary, He actually verified they were right by then performing the miracle.
From the church that never changes, Limbo has virtually disappeared from the scene.
But they’ll never admit it’s changed. They relabel and repackage it as *development of doctrine* and claim that they weren’t wrong before, but they are now more right than they were before.
An apparition.
Ooops, Pulled back the curtain I did.
Actually, I don’t care but his baseless accusations need to be exposed.
And since he was slandering a whole bunch of former Roman Catholics, I figured they ought to know what he was saying about them, that he was accusing them of lying.
The whole purgatory theology simply reinforces that Roman Catholicism teaches that the atoning work of Christ on the cross was NOT enough to give salvation and fully cleanse a person from their sins.
We have had our record of sin debt that stood against us canceled and when we got born again, we were transferred into the kingdom of Jesus, the Son God lovers, and are currently seated with Christ in the heavenly places.
THAT is how we can know where we are going when we die. We are positionally, in the spiritual realm, already there. Salvation is NOW, not just a future event.
Need a shower now - LOL?
Purgatory is based upon a false premise, that of the need for postmortem atonement and perfection of character thru "purifying torments" (if "by grace") in order to actually be with God, versus penitent faith which appropriates justification, which purifies the heart (Acts 15:9) and is counted for righteousness (Romans 4:5) and who have boldness to enter into the holy of holies, and renders one accepted in the Beloved (on His account) and positionally seated together with their Lord in Heaven, (Ephesians 1:6; 2:6) from where they await the Lord's return and His final subduing of our "vile body," that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body," (Philippians 3:21)and which is the only transformative change after this life that the Scriptures speak of.
And wherever Scripture clearly speak of the next conscious reality for those who die in that effectual faith then it is with the Lord, at death or His return (Lk. 23:43 [cf. 2Cor. 12:4; Rv. 2:7]; Phil 1:23; 2Cor. 5:8 [“we”]; 1Cor. 15:51ff'; 1Thess. 4:17)
Note in the latter case all believers were assured that if the Lord returned, which they expected in their lifetime, so would they “ever be with the Lord.” (1Thes. 4:17) though they were still undergoing growth in grace, as was Paul, who expressed he would go to be with the Lord at death, yet was not already perfect. (Phil. 3:10f)
And with the only suffering for believers that is manifestly taught as after this life being that of the judgment seat of Christ, which does not begin at death, but awaits the Lord's return, (1 Corinthians 4:5; 2 Timothy. 4:1,8; Revelation 11:18; Matthew 25:31-46; 1 Peter 1:7; 5:4) and is the suffering of the loss of rewards (and the Lord's displeasure) due to the manner of material one built the church with, which one is saved despite the loss of such, not because of. (1 Corinthians 3:8ff) In contrast to those who were never born of the Spirit or who terminally fall away. (Gal. 5:1-4; Heb. 3:12; 10:25-39)
Your friend is correct.
The Greek makes it very clear.
No person can forgive sin.
Priest is not a new testament church office.
Like most of Romanism, it is false.
—>We have had our record of sin debt that stood against us canceled and when we got born again, we were transferred into the kingdom of Jesus, the Son God lovers, and are currently seated with Christ in the heavenly places.
I agree in part, for all those who had a death bed conversion, like the thief on the cross, etc… AT THAT MOMENT, their PAST sins were forgiven and they were essentially made perfect/righteous. Then, they died. For them, judgement is assured. For the rest of us, who go on living after that moment (grace), we are judged on the decisions and actions we make over the rest of our lives, as we claim to live for Christ, claiming the blood of His covenant. The Nicolaitan doctrine of OSAS/OJAJ is a Satanic lie, already condemned by Christ in Revelation.
—>THAT is how we can know where we are going when we die. We are positionally, in the spiritual realm, already there. Salvation is NOW, not just a future event.
Judgment happens AFTER death, and willfully sinning after Grace, WHILE ONE IS ALIVE, all the time claiming Christ and the blood of His covenant, will certainly affect it. It is as if they follow a certain cloven-footed Pied Piper, playing the pan flute, mesmerized, ears itching, refusing to believe the truth of God’s immutable and binding law. What a shame.
Here are just a few of the many related texts:
Matthew 7:
21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice LAWLESSNESS!’
Hebrews 10:
26For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done DESPITE UNTO THE SPIRIT OF GRACE? 30For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, THE LORD SHALL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE. 31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Let me emphasize this: THE LORD SHALL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE.....HIS PEOPLE. And...
1 Peter 4:
17For the time has come for JUDGMENT TO BEGIN AT THE HOUSE OF GOD; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18Now
“If the righteous one is scarcely saved,
Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?”
19Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.
Revelation 21:
6And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7HE WHO OVERCOMES shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. 8But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
Thanks bro, but I still can’t find the grave of Genghis Khan. Because of that, I can only figure that he must have been assumed into Heaven, like Mary. I wonder if billions have been assumed into Heaven, because we can’t find their graves? Suppose? 😆😂😅😁👍
