Not that this had anything to do with anything, but the Los Angeles Dodgers were humiliated by their archrival this weekend after deciding to host and honor a group of anti-Catholic drag queens at their Pride Night event on Friday.
The weekend began as awfully as it ended for the Dodgers. On Friday, the team bestowed the “Community Heroes” award on the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a group of drag queens who routinely mock the Catholic faith by performing grotesque sexual acts while using religious imagery, garb, and symbolism.
Fans barely outnumbered cameramen and security guards as the Dodgers honored the “Sisters” in front of what appeared to be 50 people.
Meanwhile, outside the stadium, thousands of pro-Catholic demonstrators protested and, at one point, even blocked one of the main entrances to the stadium.
As bad as things were for the Dodgers before the games started, they didn’t get any better once they started playing.
The Dodgers dropped their Pride Night game to their hated rival, the San Francisco Giants, 7-5. It got worse, though, much worse. On Saturday, the Dodgers were absolutely hammered by the Giants, 15-0, in the team’s worst home loss since the William McKinley administration.
And on Sunday, the Giants completed the sweep and took their first series from the Dodgers in Los Angeles since July of 2021 with a 7-3 victory. So, to recap, the Dodgers alienated thousands of their loyal fans, virtually every national and California-based Catholic diocese and political organization, and angered millions of Christians of every denomination nationwide.
Not to mention, you know, offending God.

There are a LOT of people in the LA area and the overwhelming amount of them are godless, worldly, pagans (I know: I was raised there and spent half my life there). To expect more than a slight dip in attendance is unrealistic. The point was made, and the prayers will not go in vain. This isn't over in God's eyes by a considerable sight. The Dodgers getting slaughtered right after seems like it might have been a wink from God saying, "I hear ya!"
AND, it appears they threw the entire SF Giants series.
God also works in mysterious ways:-)
The executives of the Dodgers will have a lot more to worry about than any game when they stand at their judgement.
“AND, it appears they threw the entire SF Giants series.”
AND dropped into third place.
BMTI - was just about to write that when I saw it.
One almost has to wonder if the team threw the game as the only way to protest being part of this perverted display?
I don’t wonder at all. You don’t lose 15-0 in the major leagues, ever, without tanking it at at some point. My guess it started on the first pitch.
Are you suggesting that the Yankees tanked on Friday night in their 15 to 5 loss to the Red Sox?
They were called the Brooklyn Bridegrooms.
“You don’t lose 15-0 in the major leagues, ever, without tanking it at at some point.”
1985 World Series Game 7: Cardinals lost to the Royals 11-0
Not quite 15, but close. Did the Cardinals “tank?”
Bobby Miller had a 0.78 ERA before giving up seven runs.
If I was one of the Dodgers players I would ask for an exorcism of the stadium.
The Dodgers Lite Blue.
Maybe that's next month? Else, we missed it during Ramadan?
May it continue, until the head office resigns.
John Fredricks was on Bannon's War Room this morning and he said his son, who plays baseball (I think college), watched the game and told his father that he was sure that the players tanked the game on purpose. According to Fredricks, his son said that they were swinging at pitches in the dirt. And the Dodger's pitcher was throwing balls straight down the middle when you would usually be throwing a ball.
Now, Fredricks also said that he has no inside knowledge that it was on purpose; but, his son really thought it looked like they were throwing the game.
Beat LA! Beat LA!
Occams razor says that is the optimal solution.
It could be that the woke nonsense came from the corporate office...but the players disagreed and threw the game in protest.
Remember, it is the FRONT OFFICE causing this, not the players!
