“We must realize that to know the truth and to practice it will be costly….We must keep on speaking and acting even if the price is high. We must keep on preaching, even if the price is high. There is nothing in the Bible that says we are to stop. The Bible rather says, keep on, keep on.”

I was so disappointed to see that Francis Shaeffer’s son turned away from his father’s positions and acts as if being the offspring of a “fundamentalist” is tantamount to being a deprived child. Shaeffer the younger did much of the video production of the pro-Life film WHATEVER HAPPENEND TO THE HUMAN RACE before falling into trendy thinking.
Frankie was sent to boarding school. That was a tragic mistake.
Life on Earth sometimes looks like God’s Navy SEALs training for souls. It seems like we are entering Hell Week and most people are washing out.
“Life on Earth sometimes looks like God’s Navy SEALs training for souls. It seems like we are entering Hell Week and most people are washing out.”
Ha! That’s pretty well stated.
Sinning (especially the sin of pride--increasingly popular with those who call themselves Christians) is just evidence of guilt.
Agreed. Most people today do not see the rise of Pandemonium, satan's city in hell.
We are ALL sinners, we all know sin is wrong. There are those who chose to sin without any consideration to what is will ultimately cost them, the just live in the now.
Then there are we Christians who also know sin is wrong. But we choose to not give into our sinful nature and we know that we can only do that with the help of God. We accept Jesus’s wonderful gift of salvation and we understand that the cost of not accepting Jesus as Lord and savior will cost us everything, so we choose to live for what comes after we die, rebirth and an eternal life that will be perfect in every way.

What concerns me a lot lately are those folks who have given their lives to their churches thinking that doing so is the same as giving their lives to God. They don't commit any of the so-called "dirty" sins (adultery, robbery, stealing, murder, and cussing), but are filled with pride over their seemingly tidy lives.
And then there are some (including some famous preachers) who are extremely proud of their knowledge of Scripture, but lack the humility that a servant would have.
Depressing and worrying.
A young woman recently informed me that since she was over 18 living in sin with her boyfriend was not a sin and it was also OK because “God loves everyone”
Being told that it was a sin apparently was “being talked down to”
Telling the truth about sin is dissing ???
Have you ever heard the prophecy of “The Third Rome?” It is a thousand year old prediction that Moscow is the 3rd Rome!(First was Rome, Second Constantinople, Third is Moscow.) When Europe has lost her way and turn to pagan faiths, Russia will swoop in and save Europe and the world for Christ! Orthodoxia Christians will save Europe and the world. Looks like that may well come to pass.
Interesting. I’ll look into that. Thx.
Born and brought up in the Church, I think I suffered the sin of pride, believing I knew all there was to know of the Bible. Then purely by happenstance, one evening listening to the radio I encountered a gentleman who was elucidating a book of the Bible, and he went back and forth among the books of the Bible to make point after point. He did it simply, but effectively. In twenty minutes I understood that I was indeed an ignorant Christian. Ever since, I have thanked Les Feldick for opening my eyes. Yes, finally I can truly say, I am a believer.
Perhaps things have not gotten bad enough yet. For those who understand what is happening, the Bible is also full of hope where the foolish finally turn away from their wicked ways, toward the Light, and receive God’s grace. Let’s hope the same will be true for America and this world, but in the interim, we must pass the perseverance test and stay the course. That’s what Hell Week is for SEALS and the Crucible Week is for Marine grunts - it tests one’s mettle, endurance, and deep-down gut perseverance.
Moscow with its world’s highest abortion rate is going to save Europe and the world for Christ? Moscow with its 23-year dictator, its human trafficking, its invasions of the Republic of Georgia and Ukraine? You need to think more upon your theory and try not to twist prophecy to fit your own prejudice.
The Lord has definitely kept busting me back down to lowliest of servant whenever I have gotten too big for my britches.
That's one of the ways He says "I love you!" (to me).
I’m currently listening to Grace to You sermons on living in America under judgment. This one is agrees how to live in a nation under divine abandonment.

Here’s a great message all U.S. churches need to hear - especially our young adults. It’s very relevant. He really zings the current woke culture and lays out what the costs and rewards will be for obedience to Christ. Wish I could get him to come to my church. Give it a spin if you haven’t heard it already.
