This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (1 John 5:14)

Father God,

Shout with joy to the LORD, all the earth! Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before Him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the LORD is GOD! He made us, and we are His. We are His people, the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving; go into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation.

Sometimes we feel discouraged by the day’s headlines, family issues, health reports, the downward spiral of our nation…

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in GOD, for I will yet praise Him, my SAVIOR and my GOD. (Psalm 42:11)

Thank You. Instead of despair we can put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. We can focus on You and Your Promises. You never change, YOU will never leave or forsake us. You have given us HOLY SPIRIT, our Comforter and Friend to see us through.

LORD, forgive us when we take You for granted, get too busy to meditate upon You and Your WORD, or not heed the prompting of HOLY SPIRIT. May HOLY SPIRIT renew a right spirit within us so we may not sin against You.

In times of peril and uncertainty thank You we have the assurance Your goodness and unfailing love are everlasting and continue to us and every generation. Despite the circumstance may we choose praise for Who You are in the hard times.

Bless and guide President Trump and his family. Free and give recompence to the January 6 political prisoners and all who have experienced persecution when fighting on the front line for freedom’s cause and Your Name sake.

Protect the health and livelihood of the citizens of East Palestine and the surrounding area. Help them to rebuild after the toxic chemical spill. Put a shield against attempts to destroy this nation’s infrastructure and food supply. Protect the health of first responders and those who clean up after disasters.

As more and more illegalities are being exposed in high places, bring the perpetrators to justice. I said in my heart, God will judge the righteous and the wicked, for there is a time for every matter and for every work. (Ecclesiastes 3:17)

In JESUS’ Name we pray. AMEN.
