We come to You, Lord, as frail human beings. Flesh and blood.

In light of eternity, we are not here on this earth very long.

And we remember our mortality as we pass some anniversaries of disasters as we reached for the Heavens:

* The Apollo 1 Fire, January 27, 1967

* The Challenger Explosion, January 28, 1986

Yet, You, alone, Lord, are

Again, we look to Heaven—not in conquest of space—but help from the Maker of Heaven and earth.

Deliver us, Lord, from this satanic regime that has inflicted more damage than any disaster.

Grant us a heart of repentance to deal with sin within us, first.

Fill us with the Spirit and may we learn the Word and do Your will.

Spark revival and blanket our land with healing.

Like the poem, “High Flight,” may we touch the face of God in our prayers.

May we hold to the promise:
