Join with fellow FREEPERS to pray for AMERICA: For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media.

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Dear LORD, today I ask for grace to be upon us who find ourselves discouraged with the things of this world, the ways of this world, the attentions of this world, the progression of this world, the attitude of this world, the manipulations of this world . . . endless list. Sometimes we forget that the VICTORY is already won for those who are in Christ, but that battle in our hearts and minds, the concerns over loved ones apart from Christ, and the residual effects of the world’s ways, still weigh heavy on us. You have told us, COME TO ME all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I WILL GIVE YOU REST. We come to you today JESUS. Thank You.

1 John 2:16-17 tells us -- Everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, boasting about material possessions—is not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the one who does the will of God remains forever.

Dear LORD, remind us when these things (the lust of the flesh, desire of the eyes, boasting about material things) are flaunted before us, are felt still within us, and are insistent to take away those we love, that they will pass away. Keep us strong in our faith and faithful in our prayers. Discouragement has a way of keeping us off our knees and forgetful of our victory.

1 John 3:1 tells us -- See the kind of love the Father has given us that we should be called children of God, and that is what we are! The world does not know us, because it did not know him.

Dear LORD, open our hearts to the LOVE of the FATHER, in its simplest and purest form, reminding us that we are HIS CHILDREN, living in HIS PRESENCE, being taken care of in HIS WAYS, and protected by HIM through HIS GRACE and MERCY.

1 John 3:13 tells us -- Do not be surprised, brothers, if the world hates you.

Dear LORD, we give You our hearts. Give us strong regard to not taking personally those who despise us, manipulating us as if we have done something wrong. No one likes to be hated and disliked, it creates all kinds of emotions and backlashing for which we may be tempted to retaliate and then we either lose patience or taint our testimony. Help us LORD.

1 John 4:1, 3 tells us – There are many false prophets in the world.

Dear LORD, thank YOU for YOUR WORD, YOUR SPIRIT, YOUR TRUTH. Thank you for the discernment this give us. Thank YOU that when we veer off, or are being told things that are not of YOU, the SPIRIT comes to guide and remind us of all YOU have spoken.

And more than anything LORD, protect us from judging others who are yet of “this world”, ever reminding us:

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephes. 2:1-10)

Thank YOU Dear LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, FATHER SON SPIRIT, for saving us, receiving us, and preparing a place for us. We pray for our Nation, the people of our Nation, our dear families, our precious friends, and even, Dear LORD, our enemies. May Mercy and Grace be known in all today. Amen.
