Heavenly Father –

As we’re coming up on the 21st anniversary of 9/11, we observe it now as Patriot Day

It was a shock. A wake up call.

As Billy Graham said:

It seemed many turned to You, Lord, during these attacks. But we have not remained faithful and our repentance was short lived.

Since then, we’ve lost our way. Instead of victory, a godless regime has turned our blood and treasure into an ignoble stain with the sudden withdraw from Afghanistan. We betrayed our allies. Left billions in weapons to our enemies.

Our real enemy is not outside:

Give us a heart of repentance. Fill us with the Spirit. Equip us to fight and tear down spiritual strongholds in high places that are bent on destroying all that is good.

And as a people, may we return to the faith of our Founding Fathers, who put their trust in You:

FATHER, how befitting You should call Elizabeth II home on this Patriot Day Anniversary. A fine leader over her nation,
and even though her family were once considered enemies, her nation and ours set aside our differences to become allies
in battle with the most evil forces on earth. Please open the hearts of
citizens to do the same today. She did her best for her people, as any leader should. We pray You bless her with
peace of spirit and soul, offering comfort to those who loved
