Pope Francis has by no means attributed to the cardinals as figures of universal church leadership the importance that they gained over a thousand years ago and had also visibly expressed more recently since Pope Nicholas II's Papal election decree of 1059. Cardinals were papal legates, great builders and patrons. They often came from great noble families and it was from their formerly very manageable circle that the new popes emerged. Cardinals bore a special co-responsibility for the overall governance of the Church.

I dunno, I think the Dodgers are still the NL favorites.
In order for balance to return to the force - the Dodgers must return to Brooklyn.
After this next round, he will have appointed almost 70% of the current cardinals. The progressives have a strangle hold.
Who is starting pitcher for the Cards?
It would be a miracle if any other team than the Yanks win this year.

The Cardinals are 5.5 games ahead of the Brewers in the division. They are a threat to win it all. Meanwhile, I’m sorry, but the Brewers are just not a National League team.

Bud Selig's heresy. He forced Houston into the A.L. West as a condition of sale because his precious Brewers were too special to move back into the American League where they belong.
And what does Houston do now? Well they've been to the American League LCS five years in a row and live rent-free in the minds of the Yankees.
Selig could have avoided all that and left them in the league they'd spent their first 50 years in.
Bergoglio sees bishops who actually practice the faith as enemies, not so much the homosexual Jesuit bishops he constantly makes Cardinals. Bergoglio HATES any Catholic who actually practices the faith, whether they be clergy or the
laity.
I guess the Cardinals are the Church’s Colonels.
