African Primates Take the Gloves off in Fight with [Archbishop of Canterbury] Welby over Homosexuality and Other Issues

Future historians will marvel at how two percent of Anglicans managed to persuade the other 98 percent that they must change their minds about the clear teaching of Scripture on human sexual behavior even though the book they claim to believe in (the Bible) gave them no such mandate to do so.

The combination of cultural Marxism (theological liberalism) combined with the ideology of Gramsci and the Frankfurt School to alter modes of thinking and behavior of the masses have not persuaded the three biblically grounded orthodox archbishops to change their minds; "We will not join multitudes or dine with you against scriptural principles," they said. Strong language indeed.

The Primates of the Churches of Nigeria, Rwanda and Uganda responded to the Archbishop of Canterbury's letter dated 27th May, 2022 where he urged and cajoled the three Primates to attend the forthcoming Lambeth Conference.

We are three weeks away from Lambeth and despite pleas from Archbishop Justin Welby and Dr. Josiah Fearon, Secretary General of the Anglican Communion, the recalcitrant primates have not changed their minds; the answer is still Nyet.

Archbishop Henry Ndukuba of Nigeria, Archbishop Laurent Mbanda and Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba in a letter jointly signed, noted that they will not 'join the multitudes to do evil'. They emphasized that right from the earliest Council in Acts 15, and other instances from the Epistles where there were reports of lifestyle in direct opposition to Scripture, there was no place where Christians were enjoined to continue to fellowship with the disobedient members of the Church.

Yes, I agree the headline conveys the wrong impression to the average reader. This particular publication probably relies on context - it’s The Voice for Global Orthodox Anglicanism, so the readers will see primate and think bishop.

Am I the only one who thinks that title sounds racist?

Of course, it’s OK if a God-hating Il-liberal does it. /s

“I thought they were talking about gorillas.”

They are, but it’s the church leaders who are gorillas. The African Clergy are about the only CIVILIZED people left in the Catholic Church.

This is talking about the Anglicans, but allow me to note about some Catholics. My daughter was baptized in the Church, then we didn’t attend. Ex was not Catholic, and I stopped after Confirmation. She attended mostly Baptist churches while growing up. She went through Catechism classes this past year and made her Communion and Confirmation. She is very involved in church activities. Her parish has youngish priests who have traditional mass, including Latin Mass once a month. The young people at the church want real teaching. They just opened a Catholic High School this year.

My one nephew moved to a town after college for a particular church and it’s traditional teachings. His brother, still in college, joined the Knights of Columbus, and is President of his Pro life college group. Their parents are casual Catholics. The boys went to Catholic school only because their public schools were horrid.

They are dedicated to true teaching and there are many more like them. This yearning could spark a revival of truth, instead of the namby-pampy liberalism that’s been running through for years. These kids give me hope for the church.

The African church has saved the Wesleyan tradition as well. The United Methodist Church has been in violation of scripture for decades. opposition to their decadence has brought the church to absolute division.

This article is bracing to read in its entirety.

These faithful bishops (? -- they are called "primates" in Anglicanism) are greatly articulate about the decline of their church due to homosexualization. They mention Anglican priests leaving to become Catholic rather than go along with anti-Biblical sexual anarchy in the church, although with concern for the same issue there. But their stand for the Biblical truth is expressed crystal clearly. God bless them and their strong voices.
