Dear LORD, we just went through the season we call Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, and for many of us, me included, this is a very difficult time. Our hearts are heavy, our spirits are downcast, our hopes are deferred, even our minds are depressed. Is it any wonder, in YOUR Infinitude LOVE and HOLY Wisdom, the command to honor your father and your mother tops off the commandments as they transition from the HONORING YOU to the relationships toward one another. Outside of YOU, Oh Rock of our Salvation, the family is the bedrock of all civilization. When that breaks, when that crumbles, when that is destroyed, what results is what Paul wrote to Timothy – Men shall be lovers of selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, unthankful and unholy.
Dear LORD, I can’t even imagine the magnitude, the multitude, the enormity of prayers that flood the heavens through tears, from parents, like myself, who are estranged from a child, and their grandchildren, as a result of hardening of hearts, through unforgiveness, worldly psychological mumbo jumbo, being yoked or cleaving to unbelievers, the list goes on. And sadly, even many of our own children are estranged from their sons and daughters. And our world, our Nation, many of our governing bodies, our small town courts and judges, lead these circumstances in the way that is right in “their own eyes”, resulting in devastating and fruitless solutions.
Seriously, all the prayers in the world, the wishes, all the talking and complaining, yearning and desiring will not move this mountain. It must and can only be a MOVE from YOU. So LORD, for the sake of our families, which in turn effects the workings of our Nation, for how many have we seen hold the Banner - GOD, FAMILY, COUNTRY- as a motto, we bow down before YOU in petition and prayer. Please LORD, as we see the day drawing nearer and nearer – Please LORD, send even the spirit of Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers. We ask for a mighty working among the families of this Nation, bringing back unity, faith, love, commitment, hope, and honor. But LORD, lest we forget and put this cart before the horse, we pray for a restoration of FAITH in the ones who’ve walked away from YOU, a REPENTANCE for the ones who need Salvation and the ability to turn from their ways to Yours, for a REVIVAL of the 10 Commandments through the gift of the HOLY SPIRIT’S fruit living and breathing inside the hearts of those who will put their TRUST in JESUS. This is the ONLY WAY, TRUTH and LIFE that will not fail.
And LORD, because YOU are the GOD OF ALL COMFORT, I ask that this prayer will be used as this scriptures says: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our afflictions, so that we can comfort those in any affliction with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. Dear Lord, we beseech Thee to purge the monstrous Satanic evil that has seized control of our institutions and government ! Bring these evil individuals to justice ! Strike down these wicked individuals and institutions that blatantly and audaciously lie to the public about their true (evil) intentions while painting good people as the real enemy !
Do not let these servants of darkness prevail over Your children ! Send forth Your angels to liberate us, oh, Lord ! Hear our cries and help us, please, dear Lord !
