Heavenly Father –

This week, we passed the 111th birthday of our 40th president, Ronald Reagan, born on February 11, 1911.

During times of crisis, we praise You, Father, for raising up godly leadership when the people were oppressed and cried to You for help.

We confess we have forgotten You, Lord, the Author of Freedom and Libery, and have fallen into spiritual bondage of the Evil One.

Like those before us, we are caught up in this terrible cycle:

We appeal to Heaven for deliverance from the hands of the wicked. Not only from the enemy of God’s people, but also from ourselves—our own sins that bind us.

Yet, like the time of Judges You had raised up Ronald Reagan, who inspired us by his faith in God and standing for what is right.

Through the Power of the Spirit, may we carry on and fight for what is right as we discern the right:

And may we repent and return to our Judeo-Christian roots and the faith of our fathers.

May we remember our rich spiritual heritage.
