After everything that could be done was tried at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, we had to acknowledge that James, my 11-year-old grandson was gone.
Trying to adjust to this terrible reality has been difficult beyond imagination for my son Liam.
Everyone else is devastated but Liam is finding it very hard to even begin to heal.
My daughter-in-law Jessica has helped him, as have his two daughters Amanda and Abbey.
But, they all need continued prayers to beseech Our Lord to send soothing graces to the whole family.
There is no telling how long they will need prayers, or if that need will ever subside, but for now please keep my family in your prayers – we all need this help.
I can’t imagine losing a child so young. You must certainly be heartbroken. May God bless your family and give you peace.

long long road to recovery..but it is never the same. My parent always had a difficult time just answering a simple question that is often asked..”How many children do you have?
Those surrounding the family just have to have patience and give space when they want it even though you may want to overwhelm them with love.

having lost my dear brother to this covid protocol this past year, him being very healthy and vigorous, I can't imagine losing a child .....

My deepest condolences. I looked back at your previous posts and saw that he had a heart attack. Is there any more information on what could possibly cause such a young boy to have a heart attack? The youngest person I know of that died of a heart attack was 29 years old. My prayers are incoming to you and your family.
