I Can NOT Be Killed.

My body can be killed, but "I" can NOT be killed.
Why not?
Because I am not my body.
"I" am not my liver, kidneys. arms, legs, feet or fingers.
I am not my brain. My brain is nothing more than a flesh and blood computer than makes it possible for "I" to interact with my surroundings.
My arms, legs, feet, fingers, and brain will one day die, but "I" will live on and on forever.
"Jesus said . . . the one who believes in Me will live, even though they die, and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die." John 11:25-26
"My sheep listen to My voice. I know them and they follow Me. I give then eternal life and they shall never perish." __The Lord Jesus John 10:27-28
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
So?
So those two fierce killer generals, General Time and General Death, can never kill me.
Because . . .

I think he meant to say “I can not be billed!”
The natural body can be killed but the Spirit and Soul is eternal. As for the Body, we (Born Again believers) will receive an immortal, incorruptible body. One that can never be destroyed.
1’st Corinthian 15:
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

I do think vanities should be charged by the word though.
Once we have Jesus we will never die because we have already died and risen with Christ (Rom. 6:3-6). Hence we are born again.
Many of our brothers and sisters need to understand this because many are still needlessly afraid of dying. I’ve already died and risen with Christ. At some point I will leave this body and go to be with Jesus - that isn’t death, it’s my own personal “rapture”.
So even those who are not here for the big “rapture” event (1 Thess. 4:16-17), soon to come, don’t really miss out because “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” (2 Cor 5:8).

I understand what you’re saying and for the most part, I see it that way as well. There have been fleeting moments throughout my life, where I sense the separation of physical and spiritual or consciousness.
It’s almost a disturbing feeling, as both halves are usually fused.
It’s easier when both parts are fused in apparently, seamless fashion. Sort of like the average person does not remember every single event that happens to them.
That would be sensory overload, and disabling. Life functions more smoothly when one can ‘forget’ or block out certain events and focus on the bigger picture of the present.
Some speculate that our actual consciousness, that sentient ball of energy which is as unique as a fingerprint, can be ‘downloaded’ in some manner.
This personal download of data can then be installed into a younger body made of one’s own cloned cells.
I know this sounds very Sci-Fi, but many are looking into this as a possible plan to stay earthbound longer than the usual lifespan. Not for me though.

Amen. What immediately came to mind was the Scriptures concerning the second death. So I searched, here are the Scriptures referring to second death:
Revelation 20:14
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Revelation 2:11
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
Revelation 20:6
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
