Rick Wiles, a non-denominational senior pastor at Flowing Streams Church in Vero Beach, Florida with a popular online news site called TruNews, is known for promoting racist and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. Despite (or perhaps due to) Wiles’ rabidly anti-Semitic statements, Trunews has over 100,000 followers on Facebook. Wiles has a history of blatant anti-Semitism and was called out for it yet again by Dexter Van Zile of the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis (CAMERA).

“I live in the county south of Vero. I’ve never heard of this yahoo. Guess he is not as prominent as he would like to believe. “
He may not be as popular as he’d like in his own locale, but with 100k plus on line followers he demonstrates how so many people believe their own bias most of all, and so they will attach themselves to persons, comments, themes and ideas that meet their own belief and bias, whether or not what is being presented is true.
Even we here at FR are not immune to that phenomena.
Good ole Rick makes Alex sound almost sane
Who came up with this false flag? Cass Sunstein?
Now *that* was nuclear sarcasm.
🤣
Zuckerberg is probably Taliban in his heart.
There are Jews who have what I call Uncle Leo syndrome, where everything opposed to their view or their religion is considered anti-Semitic. The ADL comes to mind.
For some Jews, a Christian professing Jesus as Messiah is anti-Semitic. A Christian teaching that 1st century Jewish leaders had Christ killed, which is written in the gospels, is anti-Semitic.
In fairness to Wiles, could someone provide the receipts (Wile's WebPages, not someone's opinion), where Wile’s spouts anti-Semitic rhetoric? Thanks.
This guy is no Christian.
Right up there with the Qanon idiots who claim that Hillary Clinton and Tom Hanks were executed and now have body doubles representing them. Batshit crazy.
Some people ain’t worth the cost of the shovel.
Examination of our own biases is not encouraged. Some may be perfectly legit and cause no harm either to self or others. But that is not always the case which is why vigorous public discussion should be the norm. It helps present different issues from different perspectives and lets the light shine on the darkest of them. You can’t clean the corners in the dark.
Moose limbs must think everybody else is as stupid and as 7th. century ignorant as they are.
Sounds like a jackass to me. He should join with the Westboro Baptist Church crowd.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I hate it that the Westboro bunch chose to call themselves Baptist and Christians, they are neither but it comes with living in a “free” country, they can call themselves anything they like. I’m thinking of calling myself President of the United States, PedoJoe does it and gets away with it.
Thanks for showing your hand. Will color my opinion of anything you say on FR. Kind of like Trump who showed to all the true colors of the Commie/Socialist/Fascist/Anti-Semitic/Pinko Marxists in the Dem Party. He turned over the rocks and all the cockroaches crawled out.
“It helps present different issues from different perspectives and lets the light shine on the darkest of them.”
I totally agree.
MY basic point is “different perspectives” unfortunately fall too often on deaf ears, closed to only their own biases, and many of the same will not examine facts if the narrative fits their biases.
My pet peeve of some conservatives sometimes is when they want to support what is at its heart a good idea, but their argument uses untruths in the attempt to get their point across. To them, they made their point, but when the facts are broken down their approach used false information, and that hurts everyone arguing the same idea but using factual truths. Our enemies love the carelessly made argument. They generate their own support pointing out some “conservative’s” factual errors.
Politics has been characterized as blessing your political friends and demonizing your political enemies. If true, what are some of the tools used to advance a political view?
Conflation, omission, embellishment, selective editing, bald face lying.
How many times has something we've said or written been misunderstood, taken out of context, condemned with vitriol without rational or civil argument?
“Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit." - 1 Peter 3:10
“I never understand anti-Semitic Christians, or people that call themselves “Christians”.”
John 8:44, lying is his native tongue they are just representing their father.
“Why do so many people hate Jews when Islam so much more deserving?”
If Satan destroys the Jew he destroys the eternal promises made to the Jews and Gentiles alike.
That sounds kind of stupid.
[44] You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he stood not in the truth; because truth is not in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof. [45] But if I say the truth, you believe me not.
Guys like this are why Poe’s Law exists.
