I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Heavenly Father –

Thank You, Lord, for Your protection throughout our history—especially in times when our freedoms and the foundations of our nation were in peril from tyranny on all fronts.

Last week and next week, we honor our military—Armed Forces Day for those now serving and Memorial Day, for those who gave their lives to protect us.

In our troubled times of propaganda, lies, and deceit, may we heed the warning of a World War II and Korean War veteran:

We are now facing a great spiritual war, against most insidious foe, armed with cruel hate and bent to destroy us from within. The cancer is deep and wide, spreading and infecting all of sacred institutions.

We appeal to God for our deliverance. May the power of the Holy Spirit and knowledge of His word equip us to fight this battle for the soul of our nation and our people:

May the Spirit move a mighty way in our hearts and lives. May we be filled with power of the Spirit and equipped to fight the evil one and pull down strongholds.

May Your Name be glorified as You bring us back to You.

thank You for this burden of prayer we all feel for our beloved nation America, Lord. let this nation once again be “One Nation under God...” and as in the darkest days of Israel, keep us, Your remnant, safe and whole, Lord. let us serve You unstintingly and with out fear. let it be as you said to your servant Jeremiah (33:10,11), that “Yet again there will be heard in this place...the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and voice of the bride, the voice of those who say,
