Fiddle - I’m hanging on to a tree.
The other apostles just reiterated that. All the Rapture verses come after the verses describing the Second Coming.
PS: And apparently more than you.
LOL, your tree will not be in the hyper-dimensional realm to which God is going to transform you. But don’t worry, there are more than a few who will explain it to you then, and probably give you a ‘holy hug’.
“With the first seal the key words are given which characterize God’s wrath: war, famine, pestilence.
...war and famine and pestilence are the hallmarks of God’s wrath upon the Hebrews.”
So...hallmark allusions mean for sure it’s “wrath” but the EXPLICIT DECLARATION “Bowls of Wrath” has zero implication that what came before WASN’T?
How is that at all an acceptable hermeneutic? Denying the explicit while promoting the supposed?
Was WWI “wrath” then?
The Tohoku quake and tsunami?
COVID?
Ya got war and pestilence looking straight atcha. Wrath or no?
If not, what marked trait determines when war is wrath and which is not? Which famines and pestilences are “wrath” and which aren’t, and how can we know?
Isn’t it a little embarrassing to have to shuck and jive all around this stuff, when — if you’d just read the text literally — it flat TELLS you “Bowls of Wrath”? Could God have made it any more clear?
You raise non sequiturs a plenty. Was Jesus opening a seal when WWI broke out? Have you even bothered to read the passages in Isa, Zach, and EZ which deal with the topic at hand or are you just determined to hang onto your pre-wrath notion regardless?
Sorry, it is you who is shuckin’ and jivin’, to skip around the biblical evidence that God uses suggogates to deliver His war and famine and pestilence. By your specious appeal to any war or famine it is plain that you need that undistributed midle fallacy to support your error.
surrogates ... old fingers and failing eyes of a hunt and peck typist.
The problem I see is that people will take verses out of context and form a pretext to prove a point. Just saying.
See you in the clouds, pretty Lady.
Hopefully it’s true. So yeah, same here.
How’s this for shuckin and jivin...
“Bowls of Wrath” leaves no questions about what’s in them.
If the Seals and Trumpets are “wrath” too, why doesn’t God or any of His angles call them that when showing the whole thing to John? He wasn’t bashful about labeling the Bowls; if the rest is wrath, too, as you claim, why didn’t God or an Angel expressly say so like they did with the Bowls?
So according to you Yeshua returns to stop Armageddon and THEN the Rapture takes place.... THEN the thousand year reign of Yeshua takes place.......like I said you sure know your scripture.
Well, bro, we don’t have long to wait, to find out, based upon the signs of the season. God has not appointed me to His wrath but to obtain salvation. I’m pinning my blessed hope upon the scene of the redeemed in Heaven when the Lamb opens the first seal. See you in th4e clouds ... no steak dinner necessary. Though I really do enjoy a thick medium rare steak now and then.
Verses taken out of context form a pretext.
Obviously you read the Bible with blinders on, can't see the whole text of the message. You should read the Bible without chapters and verses to see the whole picture.
The Bible was fragmented into chapters and verses in the early to mid 16th. century and what it did was to fracture the Bible into stand alone verses to make a statement - then a verse here and a verse there were tied together to form some sort of opinion that later became fact as in this Rapture thing.
What do you mkae of the scene found in John 13 and fourteen? When do you suppose Jesus began the Upper Room Discourse? And with what did He end it? I see that section as Jesus introducing what He intends to do with His Ekklesia, the church, which he only mentions earlier with the profession by Peter of Whom Jesus Is.
There is a very good reason that the verses meant for the Church come after the verses regarding the Second Coming. Jesus gave the clue when He siad to whom He was sent. After they rejected Him He opened the mystery of the Church. But He will return again to dealing with Israel, He is not done with those who rejected Him and The Kingdom. He has told us He intends to rule from Jeriusalem and there will be a functioning Temple and Temple ordinances ... in The Kingdom Age.
"I sure do. You've got it all twisted around. You have 100 verses describing the Second Coming and 30 verses used to prove the Rapture; unfortunately for you those verses are after those that describe the Second Coming."
Your logic and compression are extraordinary. I hope your not the navigator on that puddle jumper you portend to fly.

So asserts the seventh day Adventist cultist. Your lack of study for the Old Testament exposes your perspective.
Why are you such a snarky, nasty, insulting jerk?
I nearly spit juice all over my keyboard when I read this...good one.

What part of I am ‘Christian’ is hard to comprehend? As far as I can tell your cult is in sink with that old accuser. Sure has No basis in the WORD of God and His only begotten son..
I have NO denominational affiliation... do you understand plain English?
If you don’t agree with MHGinTN, then he considers you a member of a “cult”.
