As a good God, You have thoughts and plans for our UNITED States of America—plans for welfare and peace and not for evil so that we have a hope in our final outcome. What we see with our eyes right now is NOT Your good, pleasing and perfect will. Our leaders and prophets over the last 235+ years have clearly known and spoken to us that Your will is that we would be a city set on a hill and a light to other Nations. Your will is that we would be dedicated and shining for You. And so, we gather together in agreement today as we speak Your will over us. As Jeanbl so eloquently prayed on Tuesday, “Thy Kingdom, come! Thy will, be done! here in the United States of America as it is in Heaven.” We are here day after day to give You no rest until You establish us according to Your will and make us a praise in the earth.
We confess that You are the Shepherd that feeds, guides and shields us. We pray that You would refresh and restore us and lead us in the paths of righteousness, not for our earning it, but for Your name's sake.
We also pray for President Trump and his family and staff today. Renew, refresh and restore them to their proper place—that place You prepared for them. As David said in Psalm 27, we say on their behalf, “ When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, [even then] in this will I be confident. And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; in His tent I will offer sacrifices and shouting of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.” We join them in shouts of joy as You deliver our Republic from the hands of the enemy in Jesus' name. Amen. (Ps. 145:9-10, Jer. 29:11, Romans 12:2, Matt. 5:14, Isaiah 62:7, Ps. 23, Ps. 27:2,3, 6)
***Praying along with the Presidential Prayer Team, we pray for Ken Buck, California representative. Thank You for the stand he has taken for this Nation's freedom and for President Trump. Bless him in these works of his hand. We don't know if he has made You the Lord of his life, so we ask for Your Holy Spirit to assure that he understands the Good News of Jesus' sacrifice for his salvation. We pray that You would plant him in a church which will help him to grow in You and Your ways of doing and being right. Surround him with wise counselors and give him time to study and show himself approved unto You. Bless You for this work that You will surely complete in him in Jesus' name. Amen.
