Its designers and leaders hope it will be used by Jewish, Christian and Muslim members as a place to pray, worship, gather and, perhaps above all, host a dialogue among their respective religions and with society at large.

Three religions. One building.
The concept could be profoundly simple or particularly complex.
For Berlin’s “House of One,” it’s turning out to be a bit of both.
Dubbed “the world’s first churmosqagogue” by one Reddit user, the House of One — “the world’s first hybrid church-mosque-synagogue” — will break ground in Berlin on May 27, 2021.
By then, it will have been a project 12 years in the making, at an expected cost of at least 47.2 million euro ($57.2).
Its designers and leaders hope it will be used by Jewish, Christian and Muslim members as a place to pray, worship, gather and, perhaps above all, host a dialogue among their respective religions and with society at large.
But while the House of One is intended to show that peace is possible among — and through — the world’s so-called “Abrahamic traditions,” some Berliners regard it as an overwrought symbol that has little practical purpose in the heart of one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities.
The idea for the House of One came to Protestant pastor Gregor Hohberg after he discovered the ruins of Berlin’s first church. The late Romanesque building, dating to the 13th century, had been destroyed and reconstructed repeatedly, most recently in World War II, before being torn down during the Cold War.
Hohberg wanted to honor the history of the place with a new building, but not just another church.

Should be called ‘the house of none’.
Yeah thats one building that isnt going to make it.
He’s already on the scene, IMO.
As I see it, all we need is the Antichrist.
Agreed. That has happened in universities that set up “prayer rooms” that Muslims took over, even threatening Christians who tried to use it.
Meditation Room or Mosque?
Minnesota community college attracts controversy for tailoring its meditation space to Muslim students’ needs.

I wonder how much they’re budgeting for security. Seems to me the place will have three groups Muslims hate—Christians, Jews, and Muslims who aren’t Muslim enough.
Kind of reminds me of the German Gas Chambers.
Abrahamic religions
The Abrahamic religions, also referred to collectively as the world of Abrahamism and Semitic religions, are a group of Semitic-originated religions that claim descent from the Judaism of the ancient Israelites and the worship of the God of Abraham. The Abrahamic religions are monotheistic, with the term deriving from the patriarch Abraham (a major figure described both in the Tanakh and the Quran, recognized by Jews, Christians, Muslims, and others).[2] The three major Abrahamic religions trace their origins to the first two sons of Abraham. For Jews and Christians it is his second son Isaac and for Muslims, his eldest son Ishmael.

He may be around as well
This will be attended only by people who are NOT Christian, Jews or Muslims, ie, people with COEXIST bumper stickers on their cars.
Islam is already telling the others what to do at their own expense.
I was in Nazareth last year and in half an hour I walked to a mosque, a synagogue and a church. I told my companion that the Nazarenes apparently had not gotten the memo from the media that this will never work out.
Of course you could wear that T-shirt to the meeting. Just make sure your funeral arrangements are made ahead of time.
Over at ReligionOfPeace.com it has been documenting Islamic inspired attacks since 911. While looking over all these attacks I noticed one thing that stood out: most of the dead are Moslems! House of Peace actually means House of Pieces of high velocity flesh chunks .
Good informative post. A lot of peoplr don’t understand the origins as you have noted.
Thanks for the ping SF.
This reminds me of a situation I witnessed about a year ago. There is a “church” whose denomination shall remain nameless on this thread so as to avoid argument, down my street. I noticed several vehicles parking on the road and geeting out to walk to the “church” some were wearing turbans and others were sporting the hindu mark in their forehead. Just about every religion seemed to be represented. Out of curiosity I leased my dog and went for a walk to see what was going on.
When we got to the “church” I seen a sign that said interfaith worship services. I pointed this out later to a few neighbors who claim to be Christians, it didn’t seem to bother them.
I think we are going to witness much more of this should the Lord tarry.
