The question then becomes of why God doesn’t intervene, even when asked or prayed for according to Scripture.
I struggle with that more than the evil happening.

Don’t get pissed, Sunshine. Maybe if you gave the answer first instead of babbling to explain it first people would understand. Stop wasting people’s time explaining the answer before actually giving it; otherwise, they comment on what they have seen. Stop trying to sucker people into reading your explanation by not giving the answer up front.

What ever.
Don’t read much commentary of the Holy Scriptures do you?

Not being anywhere nearly as religious as I wish I were and ought to be, I simply cannot comprehend how our Lord could sacrifice his dutiful servant President Donald J. Trump . . . You really have to ask?

Your stark post leaves me speechless.
Yes, my query seems quite ridiculous in light of how God sacrificed his son Jesus Christ . . .
I’ll just add briefly that may we experience a joyous new resurrection on the mortal level in 2024 when PDJT makes his comeback.
Thanks for sharing and reminding of the larger context.

I think what gives most people the most trouble, is the suffering that seems pointless. Things that happen seemingly at random, as *bad luck*, natural disasters, or something like health issues that seem to serve no purpose for the person suffering from them. I don't believe that any suffering is pointless. We may not see this side of heaven what the purpose is, but we can trust that our Heavenly Father - who tells us He has stored our tears in His bottle and counted each of them (Psalm 56:8) and the very hairs of our head are all numbered (Matt. 10:30) - never wastes our pain. Even with those who do not know the Lord, He uses circumstances to draw them to Him.

I agree boatbums.
metmom, I sent you a private message. Only because I shared some things with you in my response I would rather not share with others, but the Lord’s Spirit moved me and I pray my response satisfies your question.

Psalm 119:71
It is good for me that I have been afflicted;
that I might learn thy statutes.

Lol, through their own selfish thought/actions; point still stands. We don't live in cocoons, we interact.
Human nature by default treats each other people (Along with ourselves) like trash. No one is perfect, especially ourselves.
