People are saying "God is still in control." I fully agree, but He allows free will, which in turn allows gross errors and wrongdoing. You can grieve those errors, along with the decline of a once great nation brought on by those errors, without abandoning your belief that God is sovereign.
People are saying "Don't make a god of your party or its leaders." Got that right! But clarifying your positions is hardly the same as worshipping them, and clarifying your choice of leadership is hardly the same as worshipping a leader. I am glad, personally, to have clarified both my choice and position. I respect others who have done the same, whether or not we agree. The childishness of denigrating someone over these choices isn't worth comment.
People are saying "America will stand." I'm doubtful, but I ain't no prophet, so maybe it will. But the Kingdom of God will definitely stand, and soon enough, the insanity of this life will make way for the reign of the only true King. That, thank God, I am not doubtful about.
The Jews said that too in the 1930s. Fat lot of good it did them.
“God is on our side”. FactChecked. Nope, God is not on your side. He is a side. Make sure you are on His side.
The game is not over! it’s only half time. At the Judgment, we’ll see if a fat lot of good it did do them. Patience.
Lot of Christians in Russia 1918. Lots of Christians in Syria when Obama let ISIS run riot. We dont live in a Viking world where Thor sends lightning bolts of temporal intervention. Our covenant with God is about our souls.... down here you need a rifle and seven or eight magazines... and a bayonet, and a good pair of boots.
God is always in control. But sometimes His answer to our prayers is no.
You forget that God sacrificed Himself for our sins. Legally taking the full punishments for everyone and paying that debt.
No one person will ever go through anything near that.
That said, of course i don’t even want to go through what the tortured and imprisoned and executed go through, but its a drop compared to an ocean of what Christ suffered for all of us. And He did it even knowing many still wouldn’t accept His offer/payment.
Actually, America won’t stand.
It might not be now, or even 4 years from now - maybe 30 or 40? But it’s going to fall.
You cannot continue to have the level of ignorance in government at all levels as foolishly believe this train is just going to keep rolling.
God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
America’s ground is soaked in the blood of over 61 million innocent deaths deliberately given up in the satanic worship of the abortion god, Molech.
What He does, or does not do, is His to decide, not ours.
This one thing I do know: God’s Will will prevail.
And we have had plenty of warning over the years something like this might happen. Our own apathy has been our worst enemy.
God is in control, and he may be having us enter a long tribulation.
The election would have been much harder to steal if God could have held off the Kung-Flu for another year.
“And we have had plenty of warning over the years something like this might happen. Our own apathy has been our worst enemy.”
Agreed. We are in for some dark days. The only real hope is to learn from the left’s success. Play the long game and get involved with the public school system.
It got them Israel.
Re: Free Will and its unfortunate results.
The Bible teaches that even the evil wills of bad men cannot accomplish anything unless it is God’s will to do so, as Augustine helpfully explains for me:
“What is the meaning of, as concerning the gospel, indeed, they are enemies for your sake, but that their enmity wherewith they put Christ to death was, without doubt, as we see, an advantage to the gospel? And he shows that this came about by God’s ordering, who knew how to make a good use even of evil things; not that the vessels of wrath might be of advantage to Him, but that by His own good use of them they might be of advantage to the vessels of mercy. For what could be said more plainly than what is actually said, As concerning the gospel, indeed, they are enemies for your sakes? It is, therefore, in the power of the wicked to sin; but that in sinning they should do this or that by that wickedness is not in their power, but in God’s, who divides the darkness and regulates it; so that hence even what they do contrary to God’s will is not fulfilled except it be God’s will.” (Augustine, On the Predestination of the Saints Book I, Chapter 33. It is in the Power of Evil Men to Sin; But to Do This or That by Means of that Wickedness is in God’s Power Alone.)
I think from this we can take great comfort that even the bad things befalling us now are under God’s control, even if the future benefit of them to us is still cloudly. After all, if “all things work unto good for them who love God, who are the called according to His purpose,” is a true statement—and we know that it is, as it is holy scripture—then all that is occurring WILL work for in our favor in the end.
We just have to put up the good fight until it all plays out.
GEEZOPEETZO- The CoVID Planned Scamdemic is the only way this could have happened. If you don’t see that now, what will it take??? The worst “swing” states are now run by Dem Commies like Michigulag and Wisconsin, who had Repub Govs/SOS in 2016 (such as they were). JUst a few states needed to be flipped, but the MOre the Merrier the Evil Ones are. They’re just rubbing it in our faces now. This could only be accomplished by the non-existent Covid Cootie mandating a Lockdown and scaring the sweatpants off the majority of Michiganders to vote Absentee.
God was right there with them.
In the showers?
You are probably correct, but one thing is for sure: Followers of Jesus Christ do not need to make it easy for them. Resist all aspects of Operation Warp Speed, Testing, Contact Tracing, dna-altering Jab. If you trust in God, pray to God to at least slow this all down by massive resistance. Looking at all the mask wearers, I don’t hold a lot of hope for that to happen. This has been one giant Lab Test to see how we respond.
