Not the names, perhaps, but the behavior. Im beginning to think that parole needs to be tightened up, or eliminated. The two I mentioned were doing things that would send them back to prison. Thats motivation to resist. Drugs/alcohol exacerbated the problem. Granted, their cases were blown up for political reasons, but Im sure cops deal with this crap constantly.
But then that swings the discussion back to her locking up black men for petty weed, which is not the behavior of the list of names you provided, then extended their stays in jail.

This says only a few dozen of those prosecuted were locked up. Im in Oregon. Its a myth that the jails are overflowing with people convicted of drug crimes. Dealers maybe, but who cares?

I think you are confusing bail reform in liberal cities with parole reform. Big difference.
No. Parole is early release from prison, contingent upon a promise of lawful behavior for a determined period of time. Those that abuse the system risk return to prison to finish their sentence. It sets up a circumstance where a minor offense can cost the parolee years in prison. It motivates them to either straighten up and fly right, or avoid arrest by whatever means are at hand. From what Ive seen lately, it should be eliminated. Im reminded of a case (in California, I believe) of an idiot who was looking at a life sentence under a three-strikes law. His crime: stealing a slice of pizza. Some people are too stupid to be on the street.
It was literally hundreds of black (and brown men) despite liberal media attempts to sweep it all under a rug.
Cont... And so there were alot of black and brown people affected by all of her policies as DA and AG.
I know what parole is, but what you describe are the criminals being arrested and being released immediately with no bail before the ink is even dry on the arrest documents. That being said parole has its problems as well, but the program is geared towards people who were not involved in hardcore crimes, like drug usage. So I think you are really confusing the two separate issues.
“Why should a high caste Hindu with a smidgen of African ancestry on her fathers side, born in the US to immigrant parents who werent US citizens yet, and who spent a good part of her youth in Canada, be good for black Americans?”
She is married to a white guy as well!
No. Im talking early release, not immediate release.
Harris is even less black than Obama.
