Thanks for trying to appropriate Judaism once again. How DARE you say that "blood of goats and lambs could NEVER atone for a sinful man, but the spotless man from the seed of Abraham, can go to the cross"? That is a direct denial of what OUR prayers say. For you, anything could be true and go right ahead and be happy with it.

Do not DARE to contradict our Torah and tell people yours is the only way, you ignorant oaf.

Where was the holy atonement during the seventy years of the Babylonian exile? Where was it in the Wilderness when the Israelite camp was moving? (There were no services in transit.)

Then there's the fact that Yom Kippur does not now, and never did apply to non-Jews.

I realize it's a completely vain attempt to argue against a "burning in the bosom" like yours (especially since it causes you to LOCK YOUR CAPS at the word ETERNAL), but you merely assume the claims of chrstianity from the start. If you are arguing with someone who does not, then you cannot quote the "new testament" to prove anything.

The Torah is the Truth. Anything that contradicts it or assumes some sort of "fulfillment" that renders it moot is ipso facto questionable and unsafe.

Our sermon today was from 2 Timothy Ch 2, vs 8-13.

My “covering” is Jesus.

Quite sincerely, ‘Pod.

Do you think that God really cares whether you use a minus sign or an o to spell his name? Since you use the minus sign so much doesn’t it just become the same word? Don’t you think that God might be a little perturbed that the minus sign messes with the pronunciation of his name, which is God? Do you think God wants you to say geedashdee? Oh mighty Geedashdee please favor me on this day. Why don’t you spell it -od or Go- ? I get that it’s really hard to find a capital hyphen but why not Go-? Dear Gohyphen hear my prayer! There might be some debates down at the seminary about whether it’s Geedashdee ir Geehyphendee, and what do you do about the ones who insist that the true name of God is Geeminusigndee?

A Houston megachurch once declared the old testament doesn’t count anymore.

My atonement was on Calvary 2000 years ago.

Wait a second!!!

As I understand the Day of Atonement it is a foreshadowing and rehearsal of Christ's propitious work. It is not just a random festival. Absolutely no work is to be done by those who attend except the high priest (who prefigures the mediator role of Christ).

A strict Sabbath is meant to enforce the concept that our atonement is secured by faith alone (apart from works). So questions like have You done this? Have you done that? Those are missing the point entirely.

The scriptures hint the Word Became Flesh 40 days before the Day of Atonement, when the sun clothed the woman and the moon was under her feet

And was presented as a 40 day babe on the Day of Atonement.
(A clue/hint with Anna the prophetess, fasting night and day, on the day He was presented in the temple)

And pattern followed at 30,He would have then began His ministry on the Day of Atonement.
After being in the wilderness for those same 40 days, after being baptized on His 30th birthday.

Israel was called to fast one day,the final day of 40, that the Messiah of Israel fasted, before beginning His journey to the tree as the Passover Lamb.

These really are His days.
His Story.
The Word did become Flesh!
