Yes the pangs are getting more severe- although in past times- things were really really tough on Christians in many cities- much worse than today- but that is not to say that today isn’t moving closer to the return of Christ-
We are seeing the left become more openly hostile towards Christianity here in the States- Deblasio and ilk are showing their true colors- for sure- but elsewhere in the world being a Christian is a deadly choice/profession still to this day- of course we’re not the center of the biblical prophecies, but I do think our nation will play into it somehow-
Many will be tested severely- in the future- the Evil One will makes things very very ugly for God’s people- but thankfully we will have the Restrainer still working and preventing all out evil for a while yet- Woe to those who have to endure when the Restrainer is removed- Some have said that will be a time of such deviancy, such horror, that demons will walk the streets of the renewed Babylon, visible to everyone, and noone will bat an eyelash over it because evil is the order of the day then- pure evil- it will be a very dangerous time to live in for those that get saved after Christ catches up His people i n the air- It will be a very dangerous time for everyone-

And in Matt. 24:36 Jesus only said no one knows about that day or hour. He was referring to the details concerning the 2nd Coming. As for the actual timing of the 2nd Coming, in Matt. 24:42 & 44, Matt. 24:50, and Matt. 25:13 the Lord said no one on earth at the time will know the exact day or hour of His return.
So who has their head in the sand, just as the leaders in Jerusalem didn’t recognize their time of visitation many people now don’t.
