As the campaign to eradicate pornography and illegal publications sweeps across the country, religious materials not approved by the Communist Party are seized.
On December 7 last year, the police raided a house church meeting venue in Lichuan county, administered by Jiangxi Provinces prefecture-level city of Fuzhou, searching for unlicensed religious materials. Claiming that anything that is not approved by the state is pirated, officers confiscated several boxes of Bibles, hymn books, and other religious literature found in the church. They also noted down the ID information of all congregation members who were present and threatened to arrest them if they meet again. Government personnel paid regular visits to the church afterward, to ensure that the church has not resumed assemblies.
Similar raids are implemented all over the country. Since last year, governments of localities throughout China have been chasing for religious publications as part of the nationwide campaign to eradicate pornography and illegal publications. A document issued in 2019 by the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau of a county in Hebei Province calls for daily inspections to look for un-approved religious publications as primary work on religion. All such materials should be confiscated immediately.
A confidential document issued last April by a local government in Inner Mongolia demands various government departments to investigate religious venues, training institutions, printing companies, typing and copying shops, dining and entertainment establishments for unauthorized religious publications. The document also encourages grid administrators and the masses to report any leads on such materials.

The Bible is a definite threat to the Communist regime. It’s also a threat to the leftists in this country. Expect Bible confiscations to begin here soon - denounced as “hate speech”.
And people wonder why the Chicoms are hit with the corona virus. Woe into us as well. The rain will fall on the just and unjust.
For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the LORD endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
I would think they have more important issues to be concerned about
The Bible is about 2 megabytes if they want to download it. It could easily fit into a typical smartphone.
A book 3500 and 2000 years old, and it still strikes fear into the despots of the world, and drives men mad.
A king of Judea destroyed parts of it, Rewritten they came back to haunt him.
Antiochus Epiphanes tried to destroy it.
The Caesars of Rome ordered it destroyed.
The Arabs tried to replace it with the ravings of an epileptic pedophile caravan raider.
Yet it survives and still drives the unbeliever to madness.
What is in it that drives men mad? Read it and see. It just might scare the “hell” out of you.
There was a time when we knew whom the Enemy was. The Nazi arm and bayonet.
In the madness of today’s world the Bible is now “the enemy” to many.
If youre in China, you can download anything you want....
.....as long as you are downloading things approved by the Communist Party. They dont have access to Bible apps.
China the largest printer of Bibles.
When they come for your Bible, give ‘em a few rounds of ammo first.
That’s a strong statement.
Has there been any bills even at the city level in the country to confiscate bibles?
Because we have a President that is very pro Christian and is likely to win another 4 years.
We will have a right of center SCOTUS when RBG dies.
No way this would get past them.
I don’t say you’re wrong.
I’m just wondering how it will be here soon.
You may be right.
Rather than smuggle in bibles, smuggle in flash drives with the apps. Once in a church transfer the files to everyone there. The Chinese could outlaw computers like the Islamic State did but that would only guarantee they stay backward and weak.

Like your post, you win a double blessing of the Holy Spirit today! Scared the hell out of me thank God.
A 7th grader saw it and asked, "Is that a Bible?" I answered, "Yes, it is." The student began to spout off about it being "illegal" for me to have a Bible on my desk. It is not illegal actually. And there are Bibles in the school library. I didn't respond to the 7th grader's comments; no, not a word.
But later I asked some questions and discovered that there is a conditioning going on in students' minds that the Bible is not welcome in school, and that it is "unethical on the verge of illegal" for a teacher to possess a Bible in the presence of students.
Any law? No. There may be teacher "guidelines" in some districts discouraging teachers from using the Bible in counselling students.
But some teachers are also looking at it being very wrong for them to carry a Bible with them in school.
That middle school has an approved Bible "club" before school in the cafeteria. Local ministers conduct it, not teachers. There are teachers or other school staff present, as that is a rule for all approved activities.
But there is a conditioning taking place to disfavor the presence of the Bible in school.
Wow.
So like how they started with gay rights and then these transgender freaks.
You are right. The next step is making it illegal.
But how could it get past the SCOTUS?
Can something like that even go to the SC?
Does Trump have any say in something like this?
It’s nice that you carried that Bible :)
What’s a Study Bible?

God is telling me something, because I demonstrated it to a young lady a few hours ago in Barnes & Noble.
A study bible has commentary at the bottom of the page, typically with the verse numbers in bold text, explaining difficult passages and shedding light on the obscure.
For example, in Luke 12:6, why are five sparrows sold for two farthings? The study notes at the bottom of mine explain that they were a cheap source of kosher food. Study bibles also have outlines at the beginning of a book, dissertations, and sometimes an atlas in addition to a glossary and rudimentary concordance.
Most of them have a two-column layout for the verses, with cross-references to other verses between the columns.
When selecting one, look at the book of Romans. This book contains the bulk of Christian theology and the commentary should comprise about half of each page in a good study bible.
