Why Do People Reject Jesus Christ?
I'll Be Honest ^ | 4/8/19 | Tim Conway

Jesus Christ was rejected by the Jews as their Messiah when He walked on this earth. But people are still rejecting Him today, and not only rejecting Him but rejecting Him for the very same reason the Jews rejected Him. Why would people reject Jesus Christ?

I’m always wondering why it is that since they rejected him they also don’t seem to be that interested in looking for their ‘messiah’.

I mean don’t they wonder about it?

Because we are born in sin and will not be be repentant unless the Holy Spirit causes us to be born again.

The Jews rejected Him because He did not meet their expectations of a political figurehead who was supposed to conquer their enemies and become king. (which is prophesied of His second coming)

People reject Him today because the world teaches that you must earn your way to heaven. What Jesus taught about His blood sacrifice as an exclusive means of atoning for sin goes against every other religion in history.

What the world teaches about Jesus (and christians) is not the same as what God says in His word.... but people are lazy and fail to think for themselves and READ for themselves.

I think it all boils down to whether or not people think they are good enough to meet God’s standard of entry. (which is perfection)

The ones who realize that they cannot, end up finding Jesus.

It’s impossible to reject Jesus just like it’s impossible to reject love

People that don’t want to believe in the Bible or the gospels are just afraid of the truth

Jesus proclaimed “I am the way the truth and the life”

Love others unceasingly and never give up

That’s what the master of masters has given us on this great planet of life

No it’s not impossible. It’s very easy. Even Christ himself said he was hated since the world was formed. The problem is that they relate only evil with God (i.e.- if God loves us so much, why does he alllow evil to exist, and other nonsensical crap) People reject the light because they are too comfortable with their hate. Sad really, but you are seeing a rise in unpresidented evil, a depraved evil that 5 years ago you could never fathom. This is the birth pains of the end times. God is about to put his foot down.

They are scoffers who view Jesus as nonsense. They have no interest in knowing him or believing in Him. When they die Christ will not know them and will not let them into his home. Why should anyone allow a scoffer into their home if they reject them?

In the end Christians that have a relationship with Christ are allowed into His home. Scoffers who have no interest in Christ or His home and don’t even accept that He exists remain outside. They have no interest in Christ’s home.

Everyone gets what they want.

Most who turn away from God consider it weakness to be a Christian and “depend” on God. Pride also enters in the decision to put one’s beliefs in Jesus Christ. All like to think they are free to do whatever they want.

It is my belief, we serve someone or something... by not taking a stand, we take a stand against a stand.

Obviously, there are many reasons various peoples would give for rejecting Christ, at least as regards to Him being God. Atheists would give different reasons than Muslims, Jews and other believers in God would give.

There is not a group among those who are not sinners. Same goes for Christians, naturally.

It certainly would be wrong to indict Jews, as a whole, for what happened to Christ. Jesus and His buddies were every one of them Jews. As were most of the early converts to Christianity.

I’m comfortable going with what Jesus Himself said about it, in a great parable and many other instances. That is, His harshest criticism was of the gov’t aspects of the Jews and their Temple. The leadership was corrupt.

They killed Jesus BECAUSE they knew who He was and why He was there. Not because they did not recognize Him.

The cross is foolishness to those who are perishing.

They do get what they think they want,
but somehow I am betting they regret that choice immediately after final judgement!

I recently heard it said this way...
Jesus came to save mankind the first time he walked the earth, Next time will be in judgement.
So, Do you want to be riding a horse behind him or see him coming at you with a sword in his hands?

I’m always wondering why it is that since they rejected him they also don’t seem to be that interested in looking for their ‘messiah’.

It's very easy.

People who are faced with the reason for His gory death simply obstinately deny the depth of the depravity in their lives that they cannot overcome, for which Jesus died in their place to assuage The Holy God's justified fiery wrath upon mankind earned individually and without exception by each one for his/her errors. A few come to terms with this and catch a glimmer of one's fallenness, and beg for mercy.

I have. Have you?

Scratch all the reasons that people give for rejecting Jesus and you will find the the real reason for most is their desire for sexual license.

When we sin, we reject Jesus.

We reject Jesus, when we don’t accept His Truth and make our own interpretation of His Word, such as the gift He left us that we can receive Him = Body and Blood in the Sacrament of Eucharist.

When we follow God’s will, then when we show our love of God and neighbor, others will be interested in Jesus and the Truth.

Why would people reject Jesus Christ?

Ignorance and fear.

Yep. It's not by anything we do. It's all the work of the Holy Spirit.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.

Why Do People Reject Jesus Christ?

He's a free man, the quintessential anti-establishment type.

The Establishment Jesus is the fake Jesus Jesus warned everyone about.

It will soon be obvious who it is who makes a big show, flaps his wings, but never actually learned how to fly.

The real-time parable of the 737 MAX was doubled, so that you will know that the matter is determined by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

Discover the unknown. Most are determined to run a "race" on a ratwheel.
