An exploration of the doctrine of the Church of Latter day Saints by Tim Conway.
But all you DO write are sharp, sarcastic, witty (at least to you) retorts to people who disagree with you.
The rest is all just saved-up scripture that you have on hand to re-post.
Do you ever write from your own heart; or are you a machine?
The rest is all just saved-up scripture
Gosh! Nothing is worse than saved up Scripture!
What good can that do??
My word that proceeds from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please, and it will prosper where I send it.
Isaiah 55:11
They ain't disagreeing with ME!
How much of the official Mormon data I've posted here has been addressed by any Mormon?
Do you ever write from your own heart; or are you a machine?
You've just commented on that.
Machine: Jeremiah 17:9
The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?
Seems to me that the Muslims believe basically the same thing as your quote, within their own context.
Live by the sword, die by it.

Except Paul wasnt referring to an edged weapon...
I don’t really care what Mormons believe. They have their own responsibilities, and I’m not their keeper. They don’t owe YOU anything, either.
(And I feel sorry for you, if you have given your entire life over to intellect, and can’t even trust your own heart. Faith itself doesn’t reside in the intellect - it comes from a deeper space and gnosis.)
There are many different kinds of ‘swords’ and ways that egotists have of attempting to rule over others.

I disagree with your post categorizing the Apostle Paul as an egotist.
He was not.
I was referring to possible interpretations of the scripture, not to the person who purportedly wrote it.
Purportedly?
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, ...
I Cor 1:1
At this point, I think your credibility is shot. I wish you the best.
I don’t think we know as much as we think we know.
I wish you the best, as well.
I always thought Mormonism, was a form of Hinduism, where everyone has a God spark. For them, it fulfills what Satan falsely offered to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, you shall be like God, in Genesis 3:5. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Mormonism is a pernicious, spurious, false religion. Nice people, but a false religious cult, that is dragging millions of people to the Lake of Fire. I believe its no good, and is another gospel.
Thats true, they dont. About a year ago, I met a really super nice young Filipino, a 21 year old guy, at BAIA airport. He was a totally nice guy, and we had a nice discussion. I said, so you say you accept the Bible, in so far as it is correctly translated. He said yes, so I said, can you tell me where it is incorrectly translated? He was stumped. I could tell he didnt want to talk about his doctrine, so we just talked about the Philippines.
I thought he was a typical Filipino. Very nice, and very hospitable, but his religious doctrine is not good. 👎
Mormonism is yet another works based religion trying to look Christian ... for recruiting purposes.
Yep. As I said, some of the nicest, hard working, conservatives on earth, but the false doctrine is what I am against.
1. You wrote: “Your story has no bearing as I could likely find many LDS members who were once members or even pastors of your church who left it to become LDS”
If you had the “gift of discernment” then you would have written what you wrote very differently. Yes I have given many sermons to church congregations. But none of them ever left that denomination to go to the LDS denomination. That I can guarantee you 100%. Lol!!
2. You wrote: “Lehis decendents were killed in a battle in 420 AD, as told in the Book of Mormon.”
Not quite and why are you trying to be misleading and deceitful on this? If you are going to answer then please, for the sake of your own cause, tell the truth and don’t deceitful. Weren’t the Lamanites supposed to be descendants of Father Lehi too? They were apostate good followers of Jesus around 200 AD until the great division around 231 AD with the Nephites being the righteous ones, but then of course the Nephites became even more wicked so that’s why they got to be destroyed at that final battle at Cumorah, except a few like Moroni - the great prophet/historian who then as an “omnipotent resurrected angel” visits Joseph Smith 1823-1827 and thus we get the legacy ideas in Mormonism about the origins of the Native Americans.
Of course now the premier apologists/scholars in the Church don’t believe in the Moroni-caused views about the origins of the Native Americans. And what’s even worse on this topic is how Nelson, Oaks, Eyring, Ballard, the other 11 Apostles, and the rest of the leaders are COMPLETELY SILENT on this controversy and just leave everyone to fend themselves & what is pathetically sad is how so many tens of thousands of families in your Church are suffering bigtime over strife/confusion on this topic while those 15 men and their subordinates just stay silent and unempathetic.
3. You wrote: “The city of NHM, Bountiful, the Valley of Laman have been found in Arabia, just as described in the Book of Mormon. And already Mesoamerican history is being rewritten by archeologists closer and closer to the Book of Mormon all of the time.”
I call baloney on you for what you just wrote. You have obviously NOT done your homework and/or you are ignoring 2 Nephi 9:34. I suggest you be honest. You are shooting yourself in the foot.
4. You wrote: “So, it is obviously not as much of a hoax as you had thought.”
The honest truth is that it would be nice IMO if the Mormon Church could be God’s one true Church. Then we could go to some Celestial Kingdom and be with friends/family forever with certainty if we are good Mormons in this life. However we have to just live with the cards we are dealt. Mormonism is a hoax. And even if it weren’t then its leaders on earth are either a bunch of non-caring and/or delusional men or God is sick in how he has them govern his Church.
5. You wrote: “Its pretty rich of you calling a believer in Christ a non-christian, just because I dont believe the same as you.”
I do think that Mormons do believe in Christ genuinely. I do believe they think of themselves as Christians. I think its a waste of time of anyone who considers themselves Christian to go around saying “Mormons are not Christians” as it doesn’t convince anyone of anything.
6. You wrote the following and my comments below.
Christ sayed Judge not that ye be not judged, for with that same judgement that ye judge ye shall also be judged. I ask you to consider that only Christ can say who is acceptable to him and who is not. I think it is very hypocritical and un-christian of you to usurp his authority and judgement.
I don’t claim now to be an expert on Jesus Christ, Christianity, or to have all the answers on any denomination, such as the Mormons. What I do know is that the Mormon church raises their people, probably unintentionally as Nelson/Oaks and the rest of their leaders are probably just as much victims as all the lay members, to be liars.
What I would like to see is for the Mormons (and their Church leaders; though I doubt they’ll change anytime soon enough on this) to just try to be honest. What’s wrong with being completely honest? All the times that Mormons lie, regardless of whether or not they do it intentionally or not, they only make their Church look worse.
Just be honest :)
P.S. I forgive you in advance and commend those who truly try to repent of being dishonest.
P.P.S. Anyone trying to figure out the truth about Mormonism ought to go read this website - https://cesletter.org - and beware of people who will be Mormons that claim its full of lies. What it is for the most part is links to the Church’s own website showing how in their own words they are WRONG.
I guess I'm a special case; for you REALLY seem to care; an AWFUL lot; what I believe!
'Faith', in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, is sad to watch in action.
HEAVEN-The Mormon church teaches there are three levels of heaven (three "degrees of glory"):
SALVATION: A word that Mormons qualify in one of three ways: unconditional or general salvation is simply resurrection from the dead, granted to all through Christ's atonement; conditional or individual salvation involves entering the celestial kingdom through works of Mormonism; full salvation means exaltation to become a God as a result of temple ceremonies and other works. The word 'salvation' can have a two-fold meaning: a) forgiveness of sins and b) universal resurrection:
The Mormons have several different levels of "salvation".
For coming to this thread oh so late;
As you read; you’ll find things ain’t great.
Post ‘too’ many verses?
You’ll call down some curses!
