1. You wrote: “Your story has no bearing as I could likely find many LDS members who were once members or even pastors of your church who left it to become LDS”

If you had the “gift of discernment” then you would have written what you wrote very differently. Yes I have given many sermons to church congregations. But none of them ever left that denomination to go to the LDS denomination. That I can guarantee you 100%. Lol!!

2. You wrote: “Lehi’s decendents were killed in a battle in 420 AD, as told in the Book of Mormon.”

Not quite and why are you trying to be misleading and deceitful on this? If you are going to answer then please, for the sake of your own cause, tell the truth and don’t deceitful. Weren’t the Lamanites supposed to be descendants of Father Lehi too? They were apostate good followers of Jesus around 200 AD until the great division around 231 AD with the Nephites being the righteous ones, but then of course the Nephites became even more wicked so that’s why they got to be destroyed at that final battle at Cumorah, except a few like Moroni - the great prophet/historian who then as an “omnipotent resurrected angel” visits Joseph Smith 1823-1827 and thus we get the legacy ideas in Mormonism about the origins of the Native Americans.

Of course now the premier apologists/scholars in the Church don’t believe in the Moroni-caused views about the origins of the Native Americans. And what’s even worse on this topic is how Nelson, Oaks, Eyring, Ballard, the other 11 Apostles, and the rest of the leaders are COMPLETELY SILENT on this controversy and just leave everyone to fend themselves & what is pathetically sad is how so many tens of thousands of families in your Church are suffering bigtime over strife/confusion on this topic while those 15 men and their subordinates just stay silent and unempathetic.

3. You wrote: “The city of NHM, Bountiful, the Valley of Laman have been found in Arabia, just as described in the Book of Mormon. And already Mesoamerican history is being rewritten by archeologists closer and closer to the Book of Mormon all of the time.”

I call baloney on you for what you just wrote. You have obviously NOT done your homework and/or you are ignoring 2 Nephi 9:34. I suggest you be honest. You are shooting yourself in the foot.

4. You wrote: “So, it is obviously not as much of a hoax as you had thought.”

The honest truth is that it would be nice IMO if the Mormon Church could be God’s one true Church. Then we could go to some Celestial Kingdom and be with friends/family forever with certainty if we are good Mormons in this life. However we have to just live with the cards we are dealt. Mormonism is a hoax. And even if it weren’t then its leaders on earth are either a bunch of non-caring and/or delusional men or God is sick in how he has them govern his Church.

5. You wrote: “It’s pretty rich of you calling a believer in Christ a non-christian, just because I don’t believe the same as you.”

I do think that Mormons do believe in Christ genuinely. I do believe they think of themselves as Christians. I think its a waste of time of anyone who considers themselves Christian to go around saying “Mormons are not Christians” as it doesn’t convince anyone of anything.

6. You wrote the following and my comments below.

Christ sayed ‘Judge not that ye be not judged, for with that same judgement that ye judge ye shall also be judged’. I ask you to consider that only Christ can say who is acceptable to him and who is not. I think it is very hypocritical and un-christian of you to usurp his authority and judgement.

I don’t claim now to be an expert on Jesus Christ, Christianity, or to have all the answers on any denomination, such as the Mormons. What I do know is that the Mormon church raises their people, probably unintentionally as Nelson/Oaks and the rest of their leaders are probably just as much victims as all the lay members, to be liars.

What I would like to see is for the Mormons (and their Church leaders; though I doubt they’ll change anytime soon enough on this) to just try to be honest. What’s wrong with being completely honest? All the times that Mormons lie, regardless of whether or not they do it intentionally or not, they only make their Church look worse.

Just be honest :)

P.S. I forgive you in advance and commend those who truly try to repent of being dishonest.

P.P.S. Anyone trying to figure out the truth about Mormonism ought to go read this website - https://cesletter.org - and beware of people who will be Mormons that claim its full of lies. What it is for the most part is links to the Church’s own website showing how in their own words they are WRONG.

Do any Mormons EVER peak behind the curtain; to see how this FORVER family is supposed to work?

Doesn't ANY of them realize that if ANY of them are NOT Temple Worthy then their 'forever' is going to have an AWFUL lot of Prots and Catholics hanging around!

Celestial - for Mormons who have kept ALL of the laws and ordinances of their church.
Terrestrial - for religious people who aren't Mormons and for Mormons who have not met the requirements of the Church.

To inherit this gift, we must receive the ordinances of salvation, keep the commandments, and repent of our sins.
For a detailed explanation of those who will inherit celestial glory, see Doctrine and Covenants 76:50–70; 76:92–96.

This poster named “teppe” never came back to try to answer the questions/issues I raised with what they wrote. Here were 2 of the glaring problems I saw.

1. They tried to dishonestly dismiss the lack of any present-day Lehi descendants with this claim “Lehi’s decendents were killed in a battle in 420 AD, as told in the Book of Mormon” which they must know to be a very dishonest and misleading answer.

2. They gave this “NHM” baloney claim that is very far-fetched and then made other claims about Bountiful, Valley of Laman, and claim of Mesoamerican history being rewritten by archeologists closer and closer to the Book of Mormon all of the time.

We can and should forgive them for being dishonest and misleading if they seriously try to repent. But if they refuse to admit their mistakes then shame on them. I also know that if any of my siblings, and I have 10 of them that are true believing Mormons, read this thread that they will be sad about me being so vocal. Instead of being “sad” I would hope they would be resolved to encourage their fellow Church members to be honest. The dishonesty of many Church members in Mormonism is very harmful to their reputations and to their cause.
