It was Jesus who appeared to Thomas. Jesus is a man, and Thomas recognized him. Therefore Jesus retained his gender after his resurrection. Furthermore, Jesus retained his crucifixion wounds further demonstrating he retained his physical characteristics.
So, we conclude that we will retain our gender when we are resurrected in our new glorified bodies and go to heaven. But, as I said at the beginning of this article, we will not be married nor will he have any need of procreation.
But, some might ask how this is possible since the Bible says...
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus," (Galatians 3:28).
This verse is not saying there will not be male and female genders in heaven. It is saying that "in Christ" there is neither male nor female. "In Christ" designates representation and salvation. Gal. 3:28 is saying that when it comes to salvation, gender does not matter...

mankind will only spend 7 years in heaven get married then return to the earth for eternity there will be man and woman with glorified bodies just like adam had before he sinned you will be able to eat just no animals because there will be no death and you will be giggly all the time because you will have a perfect body that can not sin will not get hungry or tired it will be better than anything you could compare it to now with your deteriorating body otherwise what would draw you to the creator Hashem
The only scars in Heaven will be on the Perfect Son oh God. Those scars healed and perfected all those who will join Him in Heaven. Boggles the mind. The only Perfect One will be eternally scarred so that we could be redeemed. We will never truly know all He did and suffered for us
Jesus appeared, looking like Himself including wounds, passing through a locked door to do so; He appeared on the road to Emmaus, looking differently, until He chose to be recognized. I believe He can do much in His glorified body that mortal flesh cannot. Perhaps this is due to His Deity and therefore unique to Him.
I personally hope that we, the Resurrected Church, will be able to do some of this!
:)
There’s room for interpretation. Nobody holds 100% truth on any subject.
Genesis 6 talks about de-robed fallen angels taking human wives and creating a race of hybrids.
They reproduced - and you need reproductive organs and physical bodes to do that.
Also Jesus is talking about himself in Luke 24:39, not angels.
There will have to be. Lots of wine, good scotch and Pappy Van Winkles for everyone.
Ask Megan Kelly - she knows all that stuff.
I would assume so. After all, you can't expect everybody to run the 50-yard dash. Some people are better at longer distances...
I want my skin color in heaven to be light purple with 1 inch yellow circles spaced 4 inches apart.
I'm looking for a more classic look myself ...
Ha! So you're a light purple heathen, eh? Everyone who knows ANYTHING knows that it's dark purple ...
Gender is such an intrinsically woven part of our beings I have a hard time believing it does not exist there.
Of course.
We can do that in a test tube today ... I never said they didnt have bodies ... they dont have bodies like ours. If they had bodies like ours we would be able to see them. You presume they must have bodies like ours to impregnate women. The text does not say enough to ascertain that ... but there are many texts that confirm angelic beings are spirits.
You missed Jesus point ...
Spirits dont have physical bodies of flesh and bones ... they have something else ... and the text of scripture doesnt say what that is ... YOU are assuming that they do have flesh and bone bodies like us ... they dont ... they have something else.
“Will there be Male and Female in Heaven?”
Does it matter? It’ll be HEAVEN.
It is not gender; it is sex.
Stop letting communists dictate the terminology and control the dialogue!
“Holiness” is the important ingredient in order to even get to heaven. Do we use the free grace given to us in the Sacraments to attain that Holiness?
Exactly. He always says it better than I do. :)
I never presumed anything and you are mischaracterizing my post - a typical deceptive tactic used when somebody disagrees with somebody online.
Believe what you will, I know what I believe.
