This was addressed to the priests and deacons in my parish.
Dear Fathers,
Here is a video of a good homily by Fr. John Lankeit of the Diocese of Phoenix. It brought tears to my eyes --- anyway I thought you would find it valuable. I have it wound up to the place where the sermon starts, at 18.58
Sermon of Fr. John Lankeit, Diocese of Phoenix
We have seen a lot in the news about various bishops talking about new programs, policies, protocols, yadda-yadda but many of us are thinking what we need first is to ponder Sin, Judgment, Atonement. Some parishioners are saying it would be good to have an Hour of Reparation or Holy Hour on the theme of Sin, Penance, Atonement.
We must beg to be saved from an evil generation.
The Prophets in ther Daily Readings have been coming down hard on that lately.
If this could be done, I believe it would serve a heartfelt need.
Sincerely in Christ,

I would like to advocate for disbanding the USCCB as well. I used to use "USCCB Delenda Est) as a half-ironic tagline, but there's no irony now. I really think the USCCB --- although in theory, canonically, it should not do this --- tends to suborn groupthink among our bishops, and thus deprives individual bishops of the ordinary judgment we chould expect from a spiritual father and not a "Corporation Man."
And ther's more. But I t5hought this would be a start. Itis not essentaially a political issue. It is essentially an spiritual issue good vs evil, and our consciences before God.
Your thoughts?
mark
My thoughts are that the criminals and their willing accomplices need to be brought to justice and made to face severe penalties. I can only hope that bastards like this evil Cardinal in Mexico face their ultimate justice at the hands of a vengeful mob of parents and victims.
But what do you do on the parish level?
May God bless and comfort all faithful Catholics in this critical time for prayer.
You’re so nice!
My priest told me that our Archbishop was very hurt by all of this as was he.
I have an inkling that action is coming!
If he’s not condemning homo priests, he’s deflecting.
Abusing any child is beyond terrible. But it is the culture built brick-by-brick by the spawns of Satan, the homos, that infects all priests with at least the thought of indulging their own obscenities.
Burn out the sodomites, and the other perverts who hide in the dark and deep forest created by them will find it more difficult to hide their own sick evil.
I hate to say but the time is here when individual Catholic congregations are going to need to make some hard choices.
Because if they don’t make those hard choices then the political will is right now gathering around the world to make those choices anyway.
I’ll guarantee you that a number of families are leaving the RCC right now because they’re putting the safety of their children ahead of the disgusting behaviors of the church leadership.
That horrid, evil pervert of a Cardinal in Mexico spoke for a lot of the church leadership when he found more fault with the raped and abused children than he did with the cowardly demons who hide behind their vestments. He’s absolutely provoking a reaction and the sooner local parishes distance themselves from leadership the better.
And the practical solution for the long term is to put an end to the obviously errant notion that priests must be celibate.
Removing celibacy would make the homosexuals and the perverts almost instantly visible.
There are many practicing homosexual Bishops who haven’t been outed. I know of one Auxiliary who was spotted getting cozy with a Seminarian. The Auxiliary is now a Bishop.
There is now a well known practicing homosexual Priest booted out of Chicago who, despite the “never heard that name” at the chancery, is being housed and given a ministry by the Archbishop of San Antonio.
There was a young man who wished to become a Priest. The local Priest sent him to the gayest, groomingest, lavender mafia run seminary in the US. That Priest is now an Auxiliary Bishop. The young man did become a Priest. He tragically died soon after.
One Priest I knew made a blasphemous comment about how “hung” Jesus was on the Cross during his homily.
A Holy Cross brother was dismissed from teaching after three days of employment for making passes at boy students. He wasn’t punished by his Superiors for that behavior.
It’s systemic. These sickos know of this rot, and they protect “their kind”.
For one thing, even "removing celibacy" as a requirement doesn't mean all the heterosexual priests are going to get married. Most of them would NOT--- and if they did, they would leave the priesthood. Why? Because they sure aren't going to bring wives into the rectories, and a priest's salary isn't sufficient to establish an independent household: it's not enough to house and support a wife and kids.
Besides, would you marry a man who would break a vow? If he would break that vow (already taken), why wouldn't he break a vow with YOU? The most important thing you would know about such a man, is that his sacred commitments are not sacred to him: his word is not his bond.
Other churches, with married clergy, have plenty of problems as well. If you think a homosexual wouldn't get married, and I mean to a woman, to keep covering up his sexual secrets, let me say two words: Eugene Robinson. Or four: Episcopal Bishop Eugene Robinson.
The Catholic Church hierarchy is infested with wolves in sheep’s clothing.
Someone needs to step up and clean out these abscesses, but I don’t see that happening, as the worst of the worst appear to be in charge, in Rome.
And they had already been turned in to the police by their bishops.
So howcome there were only two in the last 10 years, but hundreds farther back than that? Celibacy has been a constant throught that 70+ year period. Therefore variations are due to something other than celibacy.
First of all, thank-you for this posting. Second, the prophets mince now about the issue of sin. Third, we all need to repent and be converted to Christ. Fourth, a massive house cleaning is in order.
Exactly.
Oh, typo. I think you meant “mince no words”?
And the worse of the worse, in Rome has to go .
Thank-you. My goof.
The only branches of that does allow for a married priesthood are the Eastern Rites Catholics and the St. Peter’s (Anglican usage) Rite.
