Prayer Request for my Grandson

I am asking for a prayer request today, My grandson who has been on a transplant list since shortly after he was born, who will now be 5 in April and we just got the call that he will get his transplant.

Prayers for the little one, Jaxson, who will receive this gracious gift.

Wisdom for the medical staff.

Safety for travels.

Healing of the body and comfort for the soul.

Thanks so much everybody! I have felt so torn for years now praying for this, because I knew it meant somebody else loses for Jaxson to have a chance at a normal life. I started this prayer chain because so much has to go right still before he even gets to the table. The surgeons that will harvest organs got the call the same time she did. She just got notified again to be at the airport by 8pm for air ambulance ride there.

I have posted about this before, in other hard times, but for those who don't know, here is a little history, Jaxson was 10 weeks premature because of the gastroschisis condition. Katie went into labor early because if she didn't, neither one of them would likely be here today, his bowels, outside his body had turned septic. He was delivered by C section and rushed into the operating room. When he came out, he only had 8cm of bowels left, between the stomach and colon. The hospital was a second home for him for first few years, past couple things have settled down a little and he has been going to special needs preschool and just been a trooper with all he has been put through in less than 5 years now. About 2 years in, they did a bowel stretching surgery, it had grown some anyway, they went in and zigzag cut it and doubled the length it was at the time.
Jaxson has survived on TPN (Total parental nutrition) he is hooked up to pumps 20 hours a day (as much as 24 at times) and the 4 he is unhooked corresponds to his preschool time, so he gets to feel somewhat normal for 4 hours. Long term TPN use is damaging to the liver and when they do this bowel transplant, they will also do the liver and I believe she said the pancreas too.
