I agree, Pops have been the brunt of an insidious smear campaign since modern times. I pray especially for stepfathers that endure the absolute worst of it from every angle.
May fathers of all types not loose heart, may they step up to the plate day after day being pillars of strength to their wives examples of cheerful, duty, courage and fortitude to their sons and champions of honor for their daughters. May we never cease to encourage them in their efforts to provide for their families with our words, talent and resources.
Fathers are the solid backbone of a strong and virtuous society when they go week in the knees everyone loses.
