German Bishop Wants Married Priests and Female Deacons
Bode has the money to pay his personnel. Last year his diocese had a budget of 161,5 Million Euro, mostly coming from compulsory church tax. This year the diocese had for the first time in more than 100 years no priestly ordination.
Ebb,
What are we to do?
You post stories that tell of the demise of our Church.
Ouch
Pray hard.
Good advice.
O Lord, grant us priests!
O Lord, grant us holy priests!
O Lord, grant us many holy priests!
O Lord, grant us many holy religious vocations!
V. St Pius X
R. Pray for us.
God bless!
Priests were originally able to be married.
Orthodox Priests are able to marry. It works fine
I’m sure to catch grief for saying I see no logical reason to
discriminate between male and female in the honor of serving as any official capacity of the church.
Let’s not be like the islam filth.
And the German Bishops are wrong — Very close to becoming apostates.
Please don’t mention non-Catholic religions on Catholic Caucus threads.
The Lord has created male and female and has designated different roles for them.
So were original priests able to marry those of the same sex?
you mean orthodox catholic or roman catholic ?
Roman.
>The Lord has created male and female and has designated different roles for them.
Yeah, Mother and Father for children. All good.
Within the Church, either can perform the communication duties. Anything else is pure stubbornness and too similar to the filth of islam.
Males have nothing on females except body strength and the islams use it against females. No thanks.
ladyjane,
that’s soooo gross even to consider. I’m going to guess the answer is no.
It may be gross but I am wondering if that is what is being suggested.
After all, it is legal in many places.
post Vactican II Roman Catholic ?
pre Vactican II Roman Catholic ?
pre 1054 Catholic ?
which one ?
There were also deaconesses in the early centuries of the Church.
>> Please dont mention non-Catholic religions on Catholic Caucus threads. <<
Oh please. The point of a caucus thread is that only members of that religion can post on the thread. Since this is a Catholic thread, only Catholics can post. But now your want to dictate that we're not even allowed to TALK about non-Catholic churches? Give me a break.
If non-Catholic churches are mentioned on a Caucus thread, the moderator will remove the Caucus designation at the request of a non-Catholic. That's why other faiths can't be mentioned on a Caucus thread.
