TRUMP: If I'm president, 'Christianity will have power' in the US
Business Insider ^ | 1/23/2016 | Colin Campbell

Billionaire businessman Donald Trump suggested on Saturday that he would have had "less difficulty" if he had proposed barring Christians from entering the US instead of Muslims.

Last December, the Republican presidential front-runner ignited a national firestorm by proposing to suspend all Muslim immigration and tourist travel into the US.

"If I said that about Christians, and if I said 'banned,' I'm telling you I would have had less difficulty," Trump said Saturday. "And that's pretty sad, because we're Christians. I'm Protestant. I'm Presbyterian."

Some of Trump's critics have questioned the sincerity of his faith, noting that the real-estate mogul recently said he doesn't like to ask God for forgiveness.

But Trump unequivocally embraced the evangelical Christian community throughout the start of his Saturday speech in Sioux Center, Iowa.

"I'm a true believer. And you're many true believers — I hope all — is everybody a true believer in this room? I think so. But Christianity is under tremendous siege," Trump told supporters at Dordt College, a Christian liberal-arts school.

I could not agree more. He doesn’t seem to know what he’s saying. He’s just tossing out bait hoping he gets enough bites to say on the front page. Doesn’t even seem to have to do with actually getting elected.

From the mouth of an “anti Trump” Ted Cruz supporter!

Christianity needs an advocate at a high level in politics and if he slightly promotes Christianity through the use of his bully pulpit it helps.

I"ve missed the big news on Jewish rallies for Trump, maybe you could point me to a few so I can see the incredible change these Jewish folks have made by not rolling over for every democrat that comes down the pike.

Funny how people who chide others for not being Christian and complain about us no longer having a Christian nation always end up on their tip toes around the Jewish folks who have labored long and hard in this country to undermine Christian values and the right of Christians to even do little things like Nativity scenes.

Tell ya' what, you move to Israel and after you've lived there a few years tell me how everyone is careful to not offend the Christians in that country. Then maybe I can dig up one damn to give about Jews in this country being upset over the Christian majority in this country behaving like the majority rather than like stupid patsies.

Note that such a Congress will probably be willing to also fire state sovereignty-ignoring, pro-gay activist justices.

Obama Praises the Koran & Disrespects the Bible

Obama is directly responsible for the rape, mutilation, torture, and murder of tens of thousands of Christians in the Middle East. His 2009 "Cairo Speech" was a direct green light to radical Islam that he was on their side, and he was a true Muslim. Read the text or watch that speech, and you will be horrified by what he said and what he unleashed upon the world. The speech was co-written with the Muslim Brotherhood, whose leaders were sitting in the front row.

The media that has enabled this evil is also culpable. They have blood on their hands.

“If Trump actually said that, he just lost every Jewish vote.”

It doesn’t matter. Most would prefer to live under sharia than to have to drive by a church on the way to work in the morning, or so it certainly seems.

If Trump actually said that, he just lost every Jewish vote

Why? If Christians don't fight for our faith, who's going to protect Jews from the onslaught?

Throughout history, Christianity has needed warriors to fend off the forces of evil. Look at the world around you. The Pope is a feckless fool, or worse. (JMHO) The only defender of faith in the world is Putin, and he-s a mean-*ss warrior. Assad and some others the US and its allies deposed protected Christians and minorities.

Trump saying he'll be a warrior for Christianity....it's what we need in the WH. Someone who understands it's a battle for civilization, and we're losing! Putin needs some help from the west in this fight. It sure as *ell ain't comin' from Europe.

“What about those who are Jewish? And Sikh? And other law-abiding religions who love America?”

Trump was making a good point, considering what is going on with Christianity in the nation and around the world. You do know that Christians are being slaughtered in the Middle East by Muslims? And you do know that Christianity is under direct attack in the United States by the Federal government and other institutions? And you do realize that not too many people are concerned about it, especially Obama, the Federal government, and Congressional Republicans?

And you do know that in every place that has a major non-Christian religion, there is not much freedom of religion.

“If Trump actually said that, he just lost every Jewish vote.”

If a politician has to deny the country’s heritage in order to get elected, then the nation is over.

Jews in the United States should want Christianity to have power, according to what a certain rabbi said. The state of Israel would not exist without Christian support.

If Trump actually said that, he just lost every Jewish vote.

No worries. No matter how noxious, outrageous, inane or repulsive, the statement is, the "He was joking" explanation applies.

Settle down.

Eat your peas or something.

Mr. Trump insists he will bring back MERRY CHRISTMAS!

After he issues that diktat to department stores, reckon he can get my Kroger to get all the displays out of the aisles so I can get my cart through?

That's an all year issue!

MERRY CHRISTMAS will be freely spoken again.

"Merry Christmas" can be freely spoken now. Merry Christmas! (According to some church calendars, it's still the Christmas season, so I could be Merry-Christmasing all over the place.)

All it takes is nerve.
