An email message sent out Friday morning by the campaign of Republican presidential contender Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) claims the junior senator from Florida "is leading the Billy Graham wing" of evangelical Christians, while Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) "is leading the Jerry Falwell wing," and GOP frontrunner Donald Trump "is leading the Jimmy Swaggart wing."
The email was signed by Eric Teetsell, who was hired by the Rubio campaign in November to serve as its director of Faith Outreach. It began with a controversial quote made at Roll Call last week by Russell Moore, an advocate of amnesty for illegal aliens, key figure in the George Soros-funded Evangelical Immigration Table (EIT), supporter of increases in Syrian refugee resettlement, one-time staffer to former Democratic Rep. Gene Taylor (D-MS), and current president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention.
Notably, the email made no mention of Dr. Ben Carson, an evangelical Christian who, until early November, was leading in the Iowa polls and was challenging GOP frontrunner Donald Trump for the national lead in polls....

Well, well, well.
Looks like Rubio is trying to move in on Cruz’s Evangelical voters.
Rubio is desperate.
In his dreams. That statement alone shows why I will never vote for him. He’s dishonest.
so where was Rubio when Kim DAvis was being politically targeted???? I didn’t see his involvement
speaking as an evangelical, the closest to the faith among those three who’ve I’ve seen is Ted Cruz.
Jimmy Swaggart is not an evangelical leader and has no “wing” anymore.
Jerry Falwell has moved on to his eternal reward and his supposed “wing” at Liberty U is pretty much respectful of all who want to be President—they even welcomed Bernie Sanders a few months ago. I have no problem with that, btw.
And Billy Graham is long since retired, and the son carrying his legacy, Franklin, has resigned from the Republican party.
Marco Rubio’s “advisor” needs to cool it.
Errr, no.
That my friends, is sick bull shit. I think he is finished now.
That’s just perverse.
It’s also patently false, but fortunately not likely to be damaging to anyone but Rubio.
I’ll bet his campaign wishes they had that one back.
Wonder if Franklin Graham will push back? That might be interesting.
The ugly side of politics: slobbering all over the evangelicals in Iowa to try and make yourself relevant.
Rubio (R-FL) claims the junior senator from Florida "is leading the Billy Graham wing" of evangelical Christians, while Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) "is leading the Jerry Falwell wing," and GOP frontrunner Donald Trump "is leading the Jimmy Swaggart wing."That's the first memorable thing I've seen from the Rubio campaign, other than his toupee slip.
Needs to get some psychiatric therapy or have that tumor removed from his shoulders.
Rubio is Catholic. He follows the Pope. Nothing against that, but it is rude of him to pretend he speaks for evangelicals. How would he like it if another candidate divided the Catholic vote like that?
Socialist/Amnesty Francis followers vote Rubio
Conservative Catholics vote Cruz
CINO Catholics vote Trump
Not saying I believe that. I’m just saying that would be the same sort of rude comment, as an example.
Religious people of all stripes prioritize according to their own conscience. No candidate owns them.
I want a float. Blue Bell home made vanilla and either Dr. Pepper or A&W root beer. Decisions.
He needs to be given the boot!
More like the Ted Haggard wing.
Pathetic, lying weasel.
Not to mention his ‘heeled zipper boots’ and ‘skinny pants’ like a ‘hepcat’.
He said, man them pants is crazy
Them’s pink, rayon acetate...
My bet is a dopey trust fund living millinialist probably wrote that letter.
Agreed, Real Christians can see thru the phony.
