Thanks for posting this.
IMHO it kinda conflicts with the 2nd commandment.
Still fascinating.
If it is a result of a natural scientific process, even if that is something we don’t understand, it is not a graven image made by someone to be worshipped. It is more like a photograph or a negative.
“That way they donât have to confront their own beliefs.â
âI think some people would rather ignore it than be challenged.â
Kinda reminds you of the folks concerning another “settled science
The Second Commandment prohibits giving any creature the worship that is due to God alone.
Nobody worships the Shroud.
global warming :)
True enough.
As the decades and centuries go by scientists will be able to be more and more definitive about the shroud's authenticity.
It doesn't matter, though. One believes in Jesus as the Son of God and our Messiah or one doesn't. A shroud doesn't change that.
That’s why it’s called “faith” bro.
Absolutely right.
Catholic ping!
That would be "sis."
:}, I stand corrected.
Thanks, bro. :o)
Goy...in Cantonese one says “Ho mmm goy,” which means thank you very much.
Hanen’t been watching the Shroud research lately. Last I heard it was a 14th century cloth. Has that conclusion changed?
I think that was debunked quite a while ago...seems they tested a patch used to mend fire damage in the 14th century. Not too bright.
Yes the original carbon dating was determined to be from a sample of the shroud that was repaired. A thorough analysis including developing the reverse image was completed by Dr. Downing. It is a must watch program that will leave you as it did the good Dr. Should be easy to find.
Thanks, I’ll check it out.
