Bill,
Do you realize you are bearing false witness on FR by promulgating false quotes ? They are fake quotes. They discredit your witness, and that of the faith community which employs you. Jim already pulled your previous thread.
“We can accomplish miraculous things in the world by merging our faiths, and the time for such a movement is now. No longer shall we slaughter our neighbors over differences in reference to their God.
A man promoting, not Christianity, but paganism - a false religion.
If I were Catholic, it would shake me to examine my core beliefs.
Amen.
Did the bones of Elisha raise a person from the dead? Did the handkerchiefs touched to St. Paul cure the sick?
You may well doubt a miracle has occurred in fact. But the person that cannot accept these sorts of miracles can occur in principle has already surrendered his intellect to rationalism.

“The problem with internet quotes is that you can’t always depend on their accuracy.”
Abe Lincoln, 1864
This is the false quote bill; however, I can completely understand why anyone would think he really said this. Although he has not said these things exactly he does allude to some of these things in other quotes over the past few years.
This totally fake quote from pastorbillrandles is a lesson for all of us to be more discerning about what we repeat, lest we spread lies and deception.
Pastorbillrandles had some latent bigotry against catholics so strong that he completely dispensed with the most cursory review of his sources before pushing slanderous lies.
He deceived himself and probably succeeded in deceiving others

Jesus Christ, Mohammed, Jehovah, Allah. These are all names employed to describe an entity that is distinctly the same across the world. For centuries, blood has been needlessly shed because of the desire to segregate our faiths. This, however, should be the very concept which unites us as people, as nations, and as a world bound by faith. Together, we can bring about an unprecedented age of peace, all we need to achieve such a state is respect each others beliefs, for we are all children of God regardless of the name we choose to address him by. We can accomplish miraculous things in the world by merging our faiths, and the time for such a movement is now. No longer shall we slaughter our neighbors over differences in reference to their God.It appears that the original source for this was the left-wing satire site, National Report.
If you have another original source for this quote (such as the transcript of a speech he gave posted on vatican.va, zenit.org, or some other reputable source), if you can provide that source, I'd appreciate it.
As for whether National Report is a satire site, most people should be able to tell this by simply looking at the headline banner:
But if that's not good enough, they have the following disclaimer:
National Report is a news and political satire web publication, which may or may not use real names, often in semi-real or mostly fictitious ways. All news articles contained within National Report are fiction, and presumably fake news. Any resemblance to the truth is purely coincidental. Advice given is NOT to be construed as professional. If you are in need of professional help, please consult a professional. National Report is not intended for children under the age of 18.If you can provide me with a reputable source, I'll look at it, otherwise, it appears that you got trolled, my FRiend...
BTW, for the record (and as my posting history for the past several months will show), I am not a fan of this pope...
That site is currently down, but "washingtonpost.com" is a real (albeit left wing) news site; "washingtonpost.com.co" is a fake, satire site.
Now, of course, if you can provide a link to a real source (Vatican, Zenit, CNA, etc), I'll happily withdraw my comment.
