Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee admitted Wednesday that fellow GOP contender Ted Cruz was prevented from speaking on stage the day before at a rally for the Kentucky clerk, explaining it all came down to a simple reason.
Well Steve, this was our event, Huckabee told NewsMaxTVs Steve Malzberg Show. My team put it together. Were the ones who recruited the people not only to be on the program, but were the ones who coordinated the effort. Were the ones who secured the permits, the staging.
We had no idea Ted Cruz was even going to show up until the day before and he didnt call us, he called several other people on the program and asked about it, the former Arkansas governor continued....

(Huckster vs Sharpton)
Not quite as bad as Sharpton, but a charlatan is a charlatan, no matter the color.
LOL! “Gomer”! Perfection! HA!
.) Wonderful reply!
Right, because the event was all about that fat slob Hucksterbee and furthering his political goals and not about Kim Davis at all when it comes down to it. Hucksterbee wanted to USE Kim Davis, and that's exactly what he did.
I have ZERO respect for politicians like Hucksterbee who use people to further their own goals and then discard them like yesterday's trash.
My own opinions about why Cruz showed up aside, the fact is if Cruz didn't show up, Hucksterbee wouldn't have outed himself for the POS he really is.
So in that regard, Thank you Ted Cruz.
BTW Ted, whenever you're asked why you weren't up on the platform with Hucksterbee, respond that the platform's weight limit was exceeded when that fat POS Hucksterbee stepped up to it and that between his fat girth and big ego there wasn't enough room on the platform for anyone else.
Well .. it was Huckster who tried to “crash” Cruz’s party today .. and when it was denied .. he tried to get even. I don’t think it worked out too well for him.
And, it serves Huck right for being so rude to Cruz .. who brought a lot of the public out with his drawing power.
I might just take that bet if for no other reason than to buy a Vet a nice dinner to thank him for his service to our country.
I agree about Huckabee, mostly, but not sure about Cruz. Cruz doesn’t add anything to a Trump ticket. Not sure that Huckabee does and, yes, he’ll finish without a TV show, which I’m sure he can address quick enough as he was good on TV even if I didn’t agree with the politics at times. Premature to discuss running mates but Trump will need one that is (1) ready to step in as president and (2) brings votes to the table that Trump does not already have. If I were to guess today, I’d say it is a woman. At one point I thought that Nikki Haley would be a good candidate but now definitely not so sure. Martinez, never. Who though? Palin would be an in-your-face choice but, like Cruz, would not add votes that Trump doesn’t already have.
Well maybe late ads night shilling of B.S. medicines in competition with the ShamWow guy.
I think Trump and Cruz have already hashed this out.

Huckster had an opportunity to be gracious unto Cruz and he chose to, instead, make this all about himself.

Waaaa waaaa. Staging?? Huck's *generosity* and *benevolence* just flew out the window, big time. (No pun intended.)
Another FAIL for the Huckster.
I didn’t do nearly as much as my dad’s generation or a lot of these younger guys.
Cue the “Church Lady:” Why, now isn’t that Special, Mike?
Hannity had video of the aides getting in Ted’s face and it seemed he was being more than asked to leave.
I want to know the names of the short dark skinned guy who blocked Cruz’s way and the guy in the suit he was with.
They escorted Cruz away.
Ted was there for Kim in a public place, Huck admits to inviting him and its not nice to turn away someone who is busy like Ted who traveled to support Kim. Shows why Trump and Ted can get along, and people say Trump has a big ego.
Huck won’t share a stage with a fellow he invited to be there. What an ass.
Ill bet you a moderately-priced steak dinner that Ted Cruz will be on a National Ticket this time next year and that Mike Huckabee wont even have a television show.
Well maybe late ads night shilling of B.S. medicines in competition with the ShamWow guy.
Huck will be doing Weight Watchers or Reverse Mortgage commercials.
Huckleberry supported GOPe against TED CRUZ.
The Citizens of Texas selected and elected Ted Cruz.
I pray that Ted Cruz is in Jehovah God’ Plan to revive
Our Country.
I really thought this was a joint thing they were doing. I do know that Huckabee had this planned for a few days, so I wasn’t aware of who was doing what. I think though, that Cruz could have gone to see Kim without Huckabee’s help because he is a sitting Senator. Huckster is an ordained minister, so they both would have access. I also disagree with both of them for making a media circus out of it - both could have gone down there without fanfare or media knowing about it - so, I think it was a political play on both parts. I could be wrong, but, I really don’t care. It’s over with now, and next week it will be something else.

Did Jesus always try to make sure that Christianity only let in the “in-crowd?”
ME. ME. ME. ME. ME.
And Ted acted exactly like we knew he would!
