Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee admitted Wednesday that fellow GOP contender Ted Cruz was prevented from speaking on stage the day before at a rally for the Kentucky clerk, explaining it all came down to a “simple” reason.
“Well Steve, this was our event,” Huckabee told NewsMaxTV’s Steve Malzberg Show. “My team put it together. We’re the ones who recruited the people not only to be on the program, but we’re the ones who coordinated the effort. We’re the ones who secured the permits, the staging.”
“We had no idea Ted Cruz was even going to show up until the day before and he didn’t call us, he called several other people on the program and asked about it,” the former Arkansas governor continued....

Huckabee said he thought it was “pretty gracious” that he “did invite” Cruz “back to visit with Kim Davis and made that possible for him.”
The New York Times first reported Tuesday that an aide to Huckabee blocked Cruz from speaking to reporters during the event.
Sen. Cruz couldn’t fit on the same stage as Huckster’s ego.
Yup, just another big reason to really dislike the Huckster.
Well, we can look at it positively. Huckster will NOT be the nominee and he gave up his dumb TV show to run. It’s a win-win.

Not the right way to treat people, Pastor.
Ted was on Hannity and was asked about this and refused to take the bait. Very gracious to the Huckster and moved on to a different aspect of the religious freedom argument.
However he did tear into Boner & Mitch on Iran and Planned Parenthood.
Given that they were both giving support fo the same person and by extension LIBERTY...One might have thought that any thought of campaign In Fighting....would have been unthinkable...

Ted Cruz is PURE CLASS. Huckster is pure “something else”.
Cruz got outplay and very seriously embarrassed himself. One has to cheer Huckabee on his success as this is what politics is all about. It shows the difference between upstarts and experience. Cruz will learn, but too late this election cycle.
I’ll bet you a moderately-priced steak dinner that Ted Cruz will be on a National Ticket this time next year and that Mike Huckabee won’t even have a television show.
I think Huck did organize the event, but wasn’t planning on showing up until later in the day. No one knew ahead of time that she was going to be released that day. Cruz planned a presser for 1pm, which was right around the time it was found out she would be freed, then Huckabee rushed in to grab all the limelight. Cruz seemed to take in all in stride for the most part.
Have I already said Huckster reminds me of Hillary? An opportunist, a bore, and un-generous with others when playing. He just can’t look classy.
Hang the expenses, Huck. Be generous at such a special time when a Christian is released from jail. You looked clingy, desperate and camera hog insecure. Utterly tasteless.
