Foreshocks of Armageddon ('pre-Antichrist' eschatology)
WND ^ | August 14, 2015 | Greg Laurie

I believe we are seeing in our world right now what can be described as the foreshocks of Armageddon. We are seeing these foreshocks all around us. Jesus said that in the last days, we “will hear of wars and rumors of wars” (Matthew 24:6 NKJV). And it seems today that at every turn, there is a new conflict.

ISIS is creating chaos in the Middle East, North Africa and Nigeria, and they only continue to grow. Syria is effectively under siege by ISIS. And in Iraq, about one-third of the country is now reportedly under ISIS control.

Meanwhile there is Iran. They are a nation bent on getting hold of a nuclear weapon, which on more than one occasion they have threatened to use on the United States and Israel. In addition, Iran funds proxy groups like Hezbollah and Hamas to engage in acts of terrorism.

Then there is Russia, which seems to be getting as aggressive as it used to be. Now we see China beginning to grow as well, wanting to dominate Southeast Asia and developing its military in a dramatic way.

Meanwhile, NATO appears to be doing nothing.

So what does all this mean? These are wars and rumors of wars. And I believe they are foreshocks of Armageddon.

I’m not the only one who thinks this, by the way. The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, which maintains the Doomsday Clock, moved it to three minutes to midnight on Jan. 22 of this year. In a message to “leaders and citizens of the world” they said, “Unchecked climate change, global nuclear weapons modernizations, and outsized nuclear weapons arsenals pose extraordinary and undeniable threats to the continued existence of humanity, and world leaders have failed to act with the speed or on the scale required to protect

You couldn’t tell it by the way I’m being piled on about a silly question I asked last night.

LOL :)

Don’t you know, you have to be what they call “rapture ready.” I guess that means dressed in your rapture best, and for God’s sake, have clean underwear. It’s not sufficient to be saved; you have to be looking up all the time.

LOL.

I always figured God will like me just fine in my ratty Richard Petty, or Carolina Panthers t-shirt and shorts.

As for clean drawers, since being married, that ain’t been an issue. :)

In all seriousness, if you know in your heart, and can answer the question, “Are you going to Heaven?” honestly to yourself, why would anyone be worried about Armageddon.

You can help others know the truth, but they have to make that decision. The best way to do that is demonstrate God’s Love, not tell them “if you’re not saved the Anti-Christ is going to drop a nuke on you.

They can read all that for themselves. I am not a Biblical Scholar, I only know what it says to me. I think God speaks to everyone who reads the Bible, in ways meant for that person. To me It’s the miracle that is the Bible.

I was just reading “if you will ask” by Oswald Chambers and he is teaching about the kingdom. The temptation of Christ reveals how the true kingdom is established, not by making bread, not by doing a great miracle of leaping from a tall building and not getting hurt, and not by worshiping anyone or anything other than the One True God.

The anti-Christs (satan, the beast and the false prophet) will in fact establish world rule by doing all three things. Providing material wealth, doing signs and wonders, and making people choose to bow to the beast through shock and awe, and so they can eat and buy the latest gadget.
