Why the church should neither cave nor panic about the decision on gay marriage

As I write this, the Supreme Court has handed down what will be the “Roe v. Wade” of marriage, redefining marriage in all 50 states. This is a sober moment, and I am a conscientious dissenter from this ruling. The Court now has disregarded thousands of years of definition of the most foundational unit of society, and the cultural changes here will be broad and deep. So how should the church respond?

First of all, the church should not panic. The Supreme Court can do many things, but the Supreme Court cannot get Jesus back in that tomb. Jesus of Nazareth is still alive. He is still calling the universe toward his kingdom.

An excellent call to remember who we are, where we came from, and what the ultimate goal is. Let the godless among us celebrate their all-too-temporary, never-fulfilling earthly tactical victories.

Look at the conservative movement, we haven’t done really much of anything. Break free, get on your local school boards, mobilize, people, we haven’t even really mobilized yet. Take on the local Republican establishment and get normal people into the process —— I don’t like the word ‘conservative’ I prefer normal. Just normal.

Get your legs under you. Yes, we need a leader, yes, we need encouragement -— just remember, conservatives have only put out a tenth of what strength they really have.

No I think the war is about to begin, the war that will remake America 1 way or the other!
The war on the Cops is in play.
The war on whites and the South is in play.
The war on Christianity and marriage is in play.
The war on our border thus the national identity is in play.
The war on the 1% (AKA the rich and Middle Class) is in play.
The war on American’s jobs is in play.
The war in the ME coming to our shores is in play.
And where is this all eminating from?
From each and every branch of our government, GOP congress fully included.
I fear that all these things are about to mesh and come to a head soon.
I pray for America that all is not lost.
