A longstanding and well-beloved member of this Forum (anonymous, so if you know the man, please do not reveal his name) tomorrow will be ordained as a priest of Jesus Christ. He has requested this thread so that prayers may be offered. Please join me in thanksgiving and petition that his vocation will be fruitful and joyous: Heavenly Father, grant these and other blessings unto thy servant, for thy glory and the salvation of souls. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Ad multos annos, gloriosque annos, vivas, vivas, vivas!
Please ping to your list. Thanks.
He is going to be needed now more than ever.
Prayers for him, especially now.
Prayers lifted up! Praise God!
Catholic ping!
Prayers and pings requested.
Prayers fervently said. Dire times.
May he stand strong in Your teachings and doctrine in the face of the onslaught of the Enemy, and may his testimony and work lead many to accept Your salvation and enter into Your Kingdom: through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, now and forever. Amen.
I hope he keeps on freeping!

We know that You have made them priests in the likeness of your own priesthood. You have consecrated them, set them aside, anointed them, filled them with the Holy Spirit, appointed them to teach, to preach, to minister, to console, to forgive, and to feed us with Your Body and Blood.
Yet we know, too, that they are one with us and share our human weaknesses. We know too that they are tempted to sin and discouragement, as are we, needing to be ministered to, as do we, to be consoled and forgiven, as do we. Indeed, we thank You for choosing them from among us, so that they understand us as we understand them, suffer with us and rejoice with us, worry with us and trust with us, share our beings, our lives, our faith.
We ask that You give them this day the gift You gave Your chosen ones on the way to Emmaus:
Your presence in their hearts,
Your holiness in their souls,
Your joy in their spirits.
And let them see You face to face in the breaking of the Eucharistic Bread.
We pray to You, O Lord, with Mary, the mother of priests,
for Your priests and for ours. Amen.
"You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek." Hebrews 7.
"You did not choose me but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last." John 15:16
Prayers.....
Amen!
Great congratulations and prayers extended. It is wonderful to have conservatives in the ministry of every denomination.
Prayers for this anonymous person. May he be blessed, body and soul, to perform his duties in persona Chirsti.
Every new priest is a blessing to the Church in these difficult days. May God give him the grace to serve God well, to grow closer to Him, to serve the people entrusted to him through wise administration of the Sacraments, and to reach out to bring back to God those in danger of falling away.
Praying for him!!
Many prayers for him, and thanksgiving for his choice to give his life to Christ and His Church.
Amen! Prayers up! What a joy to find a vocation among us: praise God!!!
