Astronomical sales of a tiny figurine of the Protestant reformation figure Martin Luther, have confounded its maker, Playmobil, by becoming the fastest-selling Playmobil figure of all time.
The German toy manufacturer announced this week that the first edition of 34,000 pieces sold out in less than 72 hours, forcing the company to urgently request its factory in Malta to produce more of the so-called little Luthers. Fans have been warned that the next batch will not be available until the end of April.
...he had very modern ideas. He believed every person had the right to an education, including women and girls. In this aspect, he was a very 21st century man.

Got to get me one of those, it would be a very nice companion to my Calvin Bobblehead and bottle of Luther beer!
**He believed every person had the right to an education, including women and girls.**

Ditto ^^^^^...love the sigline, too!!
And also that “YOPIOS” cereal. :)

I ordered a Martin Luther and a Malcolm Muggeridge. They sent me a Martin Luther King and Malcolm X. Been nothing but trouble since!
I’ll have to remember this next January in honor of Martin Luther Day.
When are they going to make one of Mohammed ?

I don’t understand your reply.
They would, but PlayMobil heads are not detachable, so he wouldn’t have much to do.
He penned some harsh rhetoric towards the Jewish community. What his actual wishes were, are not so clear (he was prone to heated hyperbole and once wrote that he wished churchgoers who could not appreciate music in worship would be imprisoned in silence). However those writings lived on and were used by Hitler, among others, as excuses for actual ghastly treatment of actual Jews.
I thought Protestants and other non-Catholics didn’t believe in images like this.
