The reason for this article is to determine if the worship/veneration given to Mary by the catholic church is justified from a Biblical perspective. This will be evaluated using the Biblical standard and not mans standard.
And what term do you use to describe/address the person listed as the male parent on your birth certificate?

It seems to me it is an attempt to spam threads so people give up on them. Who really wants to read vulgar or silly comments when they want to please the Holy Spirit ?
Sorry Mrs. Elsie...I can only promise not to laugh too often or too loud (hopefully he won’t be able to hear)
Thank you for your post. I have been thinking about that for about a week now. When I saw Catholics bragging about the number, that was my first thought.
There ya go!
Acts 17:11
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
Unless you eat my body...
You just seem to have a really hard time with quotes...
>>Mary was full of God's grace<<
Do not be called "Rabbi" Do not call anyone on earth your father do not be called teachers: Jesus warned His listeners and us against giving anyone inappropriate honor. One may have a father or teachers in a normal human sense, but should not regard them in a sense that gives them excessive spiritual honor or authority.
i. "In the Church of Christ, all titles and honors which exalt men and give occasion for pride are here forbidden." (Spurgeon)
ii. From the rest of Scripture, we can see that Jesus did not intend this as an absolute prohibition, rather as speaking to the heart that loves, collects, and cherishes such titles. We know this because, under inspiration of the Holy Spirit, godly men spoke of themselves with some of these titles.
Nope; it was a PRO-bible piece.
So perhaps you may want to reconsider your statement.
That is fine with me. I learn from his posts unlike those of many of the Catholics on here. Maybe y’all should start learning nstead of counting posts. One thing I do not understand at all is why y’all do not back up your statements? Is it because they have no Biblical basis?
I'd say you are wrong again; but you'd deny it; so I won't say it.
In these threads, the BIBLE is my favorite source; Catholic writings are #2, repeating what FR Catholics post: #3, and DILBERT etal come in at number 4.
"The worm has turned"
Daddy, Dad. Have never used father. Seems kind of uppy to me. When my first nephew was born when I was 2, we called him Pa like he did.
Trying again to justify spurious and unScriptural traditions of your cult! Context must be added... but fail to make a point by asking that question! As usual, you fail to support anything you believe with Scripture, but instead rely on traditions from the cult leadership! The Scripture references the leaders, not parents. If you studied Scripture instead of quoting catechismal responses... maybe you would know Jesus as your Savior!!!
Jesus Himself made a reference to earthly parents... Matthew 15: 3 Jesus replied, And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God said, Honor your father and mothera and Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death. 5 But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is devoted to God, 6 they are not to honor their father or mother with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. 7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: ...
...
... Matthew 23: 1 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: 2 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses seat. 3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. 4 They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other peoples shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
5 Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteriesa wide and the tassels on their garments long; 6 they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; 7 they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called Rabbi by others.
8 But you are not to be called Rabbi, for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. 9 And do not call anyone on earth father, for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. 10 Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. 11 The greatest among you will be your servant. 12 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
13 Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in peoples faces. 14 You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.
15 Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.
16 Woe to you, blind guides! You say, If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gold of the temple is bound by that oath. 17 You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred? ...
No, I simply point out the use of Satan's tactics to hide the truth of scripture.
