If this wasn't a holiday then right now I'd be at our local Bible study. We (a group of folks from our small Catholic parish) are going through Exodus currently. It is very interesting -- lots of fun and informative.

Just on the matter of Mary, it was sad to see how the Pope prayed to her exactly as a Christian would to God Himself. From what I see, Catholics overlook this because they believe since they believe idolatry is wrong that they can’t be doing it, and that it’s what God wants because their leadership, who do God’s will, has said so, so it isn’t idolatry. But it all comes down to their leadership clearly abusing their authority to institute idolatry.
