The Rev. Greg Fry, priest-in-charge at Grace Episcopal Church in Pine Bluff, told his congregation Sunday morning that he is transgendered and identifies himself as a woman, apparently becoming the only working member of the Episcopalian clergy in Arkansas ever to make such an announcement.
Church members and officials at Grace Episcopal declined comment on Monday, while one member said church leaders in the vestry were scheduled to meet on Wednesday, after which they may be in a better position to discuss the matter.
The Rt. Rev. Larry Benfield, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas, said in a statement that he has met with the congregation's vestry.

Now isn’t he special....
Then I'll help the good Reverand out.
1. Were you born with something dangling between your legs other than the umbilical cord?
If yes then God made you a male, if no, you are female.
Now wasn't that easy...
He’s not “transgendered”, he’s gelded.
How are these female and transgendered priests to be addressed? ‘Mother’ or ‘Father’?
When those church leaders who “are scheduled to meet in the vestry” about his claim allow him to bring a new set of clothes to the vestry?
VESTRY:
Middle English vestrie, probably from Anglo-French *vesterie, alteration of Middle French vestiarie, from Medieval Latin vestiarium, from Latin, cupboard for storing clothes, from vestis garment; from its use as a robing room for the clergy
First Known Use: 14th century
It’s almost not worth remarking on by now.
Reverend Fry.
Now THAT’s irony, folks. Pure I-ron-eee.
Cause he’s gonna.
Any member who is serious would have walked out and found a new church
well, the liberal view is that we are too focused on genitalia when discussing trans-whatever persons. Liberals also tell us we are hetero-normative, too wedded to the binary notion of sexuality, that there are only 2 sexes, etc.
Facebook allows for over 50 gender classifications. I guess liberals want us to refer to Facebook criteria. We can’t restrict ourselves to just male and female, in this brave new world we live in...........................
I’m still trying to figure out why the contra-factual assertion that one is the sex one is neither phenotypically nor genotypically is treated with deference in our oh-so-”enlightened” times, while any other contra-factual assertion about oneself of a similar fundamental nature (e.g. were I to firmly assert that I am Japanese, or that I am Napoleon Bonaparte, or that I am a Bengal tiger) would still rightly treated as a delusion and a sign of mental illness.
How about "Hey, apostate !"
A friend of mine in has to work in Pine Bluff for another 3 months.
He has said it is the arm pit of Arkansas.
That said, it must be bad.
That is correct.
“Pine Bluff”
You can say that again.
He needs a few months in a nice quiet Canadian monastery and maybe a testosterone shot.
FWIW, He was not the guitarist for the 70s pop band, the Eagles.
He may be my Grandma
